Very happy about these two as I've been looking for them for a while. Also want to throw in my 2 cents to the great comments made by others already. Buying models in 400 scales as investments really isn't going to bring in much ROI because you will very likely run into situations 1) of "having a price but no sales" (low bid on eBay if selling as an auction, what I've noticed a lot, with the prominent example being BigBird 747s (nothing against them), which are said to have a high value but aren't selling in reality), 2) where the return cannot be realized as expected values (having to wait a long time before someone buys if selling as buy-it-now), or 3) re-release destroying value. Also the platform takes a cut so realistically it probably needs to be sold at least 120% of the original price (adjusted for inflation) just to break even. The amount of money you can make from these is very minimal and cannot justify the hustle around buying-listing-selling and customer service. Becoming a retailer is a better way if you really want to get into the business of selling models. Of course, there are other ways you can sell the model, but my point is made.
I collect for fun as well, not for investment. So in my case, it's a win-win situation for brands like NG to do re-releases. My wish list for NG will be
1) Qantas 789 in "Yam Dreaming"
2) Aeromexico 789 in "Quetzalcoatl"
3) Etihad 789 in "Man City"
4) Air New Zealand 789 in "All Black"
5) United 789 in "Evo Blue"
3) Icelandair 752 in "80th Anniversary"
4) Icelandair 752 in "Hekla Aurora"
5) Pam Am L-1011
6) TWA L-1011 in "Twin Stripes"
hopefully going to see them soon @@?
