NG Model 1:400 February 2026 Release Hints

It's almost all Asian but there are some really nice liveries in here on the best moulds, plus some awful pink thing too. Check out my thoughts and rankings here.

Who'd want a blank beluga xl?
Sam. Of JC fame 🤭.

Just a note @YesterAirlines - these Y-20s are the 'B' version if I'm not mistaken - different engines for one - not sure if there are any fuselage or other wing mods

And yeah, from my perspective, to resonate with what you mention, this is a great set - there's 6 here that'll fit right into my collection criteria - and 1 that may stray in later if at all.

Just FYI, the 1000 has a different (larger) wing and in consequence different winglets compared to any 900.
I'm not aware of any correct 1000 wing moulds in 400 diecast though.
this is the reason why I avoid buying any A35Ks in 400scale. i'm glad that someone finally stated out this difference-A35k should has a wing with same sweep angle, same span, but a larger chord length along every point relative to wingspan. personally I think that accuracy among regions like wing dimensions, fuselage cross section etc.
matters more than the nose shape.

I discussed this a few times already.
Here from post #39 onwards
Or here in #2931 and 2932
But honestly, while the difference is there it is hard for the (untrained) eye to catch it.

This fantasy model actually seems to be the most popular one in the pre-orders at my local retailer. That said, it’s really not my kind of theme at all — honestly, I wouldn’t even take it if someone offered it to me for free.😂

there are quite a lot similar concepts in the internet and the colors are quite unique, I might buy such model if it was not a fantasy and definitely not what NG made, their version is just bad looking

Is it me or does the green seem to have a metallic sheen?

Cathay Pacific B-LRJ Heathrow.jpg

The green reflection seems too shiny by me, especially the first photo.

What I am bothered about is that NG keeps printing the cockpit windows & the zorro mask too high these days.

If one looks at the real thing above (image courtesy of Heathrow Airside on 13/1/2026), the passenger window is at a higher level than the bottom of the zorro mask. One could even say the the height level of the passenger window is at roughly the mid-point of the zorro mask.

In contrast, NG's B-LRJ has the pax window line at the bottom of the zorro mask (see red line below).

Think it is too obvious on the B-LRJ this time and pretty indefensible...

Your comparison yardstick would be erroneous because the photos used for it do not consider the fuselage geometry - which will distort any colinearity of elements
