NG Model 1:400 February 2026 Release Hints

And finally, what's the point of such high-quality aircraft if you only export 90% of the brands to the Chinese market?

I understand they sell a lot there, but they've clearly forgotten about the rest of the global market.

In my opinion, and based on my purchases of airplanes for my airport dioramas, the variety of airlines I've bought since the end of 2025 has undoubtedly been from Gemini and Phoenix.

NG used to release such a wide variety that it was a joy, and now, for me, it's just a few models, and only if they're worth it, like when the Lufthansa 787 comes out, etc.

But that's up to each person's individual purchases.

Yes, so when you say 'quality' and 'Gemini gaining ground' you are talking about what they are releasing not the models themselves. That makes perfect sense if you collect European models, although I'd argue NG's output is still better than Geminis.

This has been talked about to death so perhaps read back through this thread for more on it. NG still make more non-Chinese models than GJ make non-US as a % and the general economic situation (mainly due to Trump's tariffs and their impact) has favoured making models for the home market.

I know you're a big student of 1:400 scale models, etc., and I follow you on social media. Based on your opinion, how do you think NG Models will handle the number of aircraft they release each month this year?

And will they continue to focus on the Asian market, largely ignoring the rest of the world?

Greetings from the Canary Islands

Sadly I'm quite pessimistic that NG will swing back towards more US and European releases, although there are a lot that have been approved as wishes so you never know.

I'm more concerned personally about the lack of classics myself, which I also don't see changing much. I hope I'm wrong.

NG has moved to releasing everything instantly. There are almost never delays with NG nowadays - they announce the models when they are pretty much made and they are delivered the month after so you are wrong on that count.
Unfortunately Richard, that's not actually correct. NG did move to an announce-wait-release distribution model for some releases I noticed last year. For instance Qatar formula 1 announced November. UEFA Champions League 777 announced June. Neither released. Airbus A350F announced Jan and released late in the year. While not as bad as a400 or heaven forbid JC Wings (boeing 777 Eco demonstrator announced in 2022!) they still did start playing in that field. To the point where I put them on the 'don't order until you see the whites of their undercarriage' list.

It would be good if they went back to announcing only models they have ready.

Sorry I am not wrong. A release is only announced if it is part of an ACTUAL RELEASE ANNOUNCEMENT. The models you are talking about are 'future announcements' which do not have release dates. The Formula One 777 has NOT been announced formally by NG and the Champions League model was only announced in December as part of a monthly release set.

It is clear what models are announced and what are future models - it says so on their website and if retailers list future models for sale that is their problem not NGs.

I personally think future models are stupid but I understand why they do it. Gemini does the same thing. JC Wings announces its future models as part of real announcements, which is taking the mickey but for NG it is clear in my view what is announced and what is an instagram post for a future model.

In terms of 'quality' (i.e. the finish of the models) they are still at the top of the game in 400 scale alongside HX, Panda and AV400.

In terms of release choices whether you consider they are average depends on what you collect I suspect, but to suggest Gemini is gaining ground is funny when they have literally done nothing to change their product or offering since NG started up. You could make an argument for Phoenix except the majority of their hard product is inferior.
Yea. I've been hating on NG for the release choices, but nothing has diminished with the models themselves. Still top tier and never delays in releasing them

Not true, some of the artwork and QC errors they’ve had these past few months have been absolutely horrendous. NG’s moulds and printing quality are unmatched, but I’d take literally anyone else in 400 scale over them when it comes to artwork accuracy.

Would you take the Z² American A300, or Aeroclassics then😭?

No, but NG’s no better. I’ve burned through 15 of their KAL 748s for customization, and disregarding the high engine logos, 14 have had other issues. Paint chipping, random decal pieces on pylons, off centered wing rego, detached landing gear, misaligned engines etc. Unironically the worst model I’ve ever seen whilst collecting.

Not to mention the sparkly Jetstars, Cathays with wonky cheatline color, incorrect stabilizer color on the Tropical 747, and wrong wing rego placement on practically every Korean aircraft. All basic stuff that even JC nails every time.

Don’t like a model, don’t buy it! But why always the same whine and dine situations on EVERY release / hints by EVERY manufacturer on this forum. I’ve had it with those conversations. To much Americans, to much Chinese models, to much of this or that! Not fun anymore. They are 400 times smaller than the real aircraft! Nothing in life is the same or perfect. I’m part of a forum for the pictures, the hints of models, the fun anecdote’s why someone buy’s of likes a model. There is a categorie where you can whine and dine about the shattered dreams of buying a model, have you're picking over there. But please not in every categorie. This is about NG hints. 5 pages down the line. I think 6-7 replies about the hints, since then about the bad release, the bad future models, the bad this and bad that. It’s getting tired and making me wanting to leave this forum!
