NG Model 1:400 April 2026 Release Hints

Quite an interesting release, I must say. The Delta MD-88 and United 788 were very much out of left field. Glad to see the Mad Dog returning, but hopefully we see the other liveries in the future. Let’s hope that mould stays consistent with the releases now that we’re past CNY. I’m more pleased with this release, with its better global representation. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s a step in the right direction. This needs to be consistent now and not just a one-off like it has been before. And we need to see communication from NG improve moving forward, since 17 days between the hints and the announcement is unreasonable IMO. If that’s what they want to do, then it needs to be communicated.

Because when they get it right, nobody’s as good. We all want our favorite subjects in the best quality.

F-GUGO is the only active A318 in the new livery. There was another, F-GUGQ but it was retired last year. F-GUGP is in the 2009 livery, like most the Air France's remaining A318s (the others, F-GUGM and F-GUGN have the same livery as F-GUGP). That's the only reason why F-GUGO would be 'more desirable' than F-GUGP.

As much as I too am waiting for Tristars - and many are 'approved' - like the PSA & Tristar they released recently - I'm guessing that NG's spacing out their Tristar releases - perhaps seeing a lower-than-expected demand of the recent PSA and Eastern - which (surprisingly) are still 'available' at NG, for instance

I don’t think a lot of these reactions are over-the-top — it’s great to have other choices but some collectors aren’t willing to settle for less if they know it’s possible, or nor do they want to wait however-many-years for NG to release something they want. For example, I’ve been waiting over five years for NG to do a current livery Frontier A320/A321 and their NEO counterparts. Thankfully AC/GJ have satisfied my cravings for the time being, but I’ll still be here wanting NG to make some.

Their releases are getting so bland that the CRP free model exchange is starting to get bland If I weren’t a Delta collector i’de be ripping my hair out.

I did not pick up a single model. Since I stopped collection chinese liveries and missing classic airliners, there's not much left to get from NG.

I was only hoping for the updated Korean Air Lines 747SP but without luck.
