NG CRP Requests

seems like a good idea. Gives collectors a voice to request what models they want. Only problem I can foresee is spam and I've noticed people requesting models NG doesn't even have moulds for...

I find it crazy people are throwing their points away for this.. I roll my eyes each time I see it hahaha.

Okay so
Just noticed thus posting (may be I'm late to the party 🤣 or nay be I'm wrong lol)
- if the CRP wish you have voted for is released - that vote (point deducted) already counts as a Reservation.

So if you happen to 'Reserve' against the said release announcement - that point counts as a separate Reservation.

I just noticed that I have 2 reservations against all CRP wishes I voted for that have so far been released - (since I performed both the above actions) which is a waste of points imo

- but then, what are the points bonus if you have only voted for the release wish in the CRP section?
Have yet to receive any such CRP wish model - Thus curious.

They’ve got 153 approved models, and out of that only 19 have been released with 10 being from outside China. The latter number has got to be higher through the rest of the year.

What’s the point of getting more votes if suggestions with 2 joined get released while others with 10+ don’t get considered?
They probably already had plans to make the new Korean planes. Voting for something that isn't obvious to NG to make, voting on that shows them there is interest. EVERYONE is making the new Korean planes, do you really think the fact that it was suggested and voted on is why it is being made?

If that was in their plans all along, they need to clarify that when they put the stamp on the voting page. They approved a fantasy American A321neo Oneworld fantasy with 5 votes a while back, and I can say with certainty that there isn’t much interest in it.

These 4 were approved earlier today confirming that the HL- 321 from this months hints should be Asiana

So these (with barely any votes) have the approved sticker, while the May release 359 (with 10+ votes) doesn’t… I wouldn’t read too much into what the website says. Plenty of recent releases had many votes, but were never “approved.”

Also, I’m 99% sure the classic scheme 359 will sell better than all these combined 🤣 Shock value aside, there doesn’t seem to be much demand for the new livery.

THIS.

Am I the only one who is highly skeptical about this whole thing?
Sorry for being pessimistic, but out of 153 approved models, I think NG won't be delivering even half of these. This backlog is huge and they don't seem to be in a hurry to clear it.
The "Approved by voting" label is bull feces IMO. I still find quite shocking how people are still putting their faith on this thing.
NG would probably release these new Korean Air models with or without CRP requests.
Sure, some of the approved models were indeed released... Eastern L-1011 is a great example. A tiny fraction from the whole backlog, though.

We can always see how disconnected/unaware NG really is when talking about Western collectors' requests.
No matter how many times we ask, they only think about releasing Bs and Ns, A350s and 787s.

Right. I totally agree with this.
Everyone is making these - they're hot now - and any first reg in a new scheme is a seller.

I agree with you on the unpredictability - like the Korean A333 (CRP wish in o/c) is not 'Approved' in spite of the votes - and I'm half guessing NG's not keen on that since PHX just released two versions - and I'm guessing the A359 (if that's the one) will move directly to 'Released' after the announcements are made - the Reservations will add to the Votes (as I explained earlier here - https://modelairlinerforum.com/threads/ng-crp-requests.1914/post-40497 )

I'd say the 'Approved' stamp is to inform collectors that these are forthcoming on NG's moulds, to compete with other manufacturers. It's like a 'pre-announcement'
