NG CRP Requests

Bunch of NPCs :ROFLMAO:

we're in June 2025 and people still seem to believe in the "approved by voting" label. This Lufthansa A340-600 is just a proof that this label is pure bull manure and it means nothing at this point.

In my opinion, NG should end this CRP request program and admit they bit way more they could chew. What's the point of keeping fooling collectors, who hope to see their wishes fulfilled? The whole thing became unsustainable to NG, specially when their current goal is to keep releasing Bs and Ns. By asking obscure L-1011s and MD-80s, we're spoiling their plans of releasing more Chinese planes šŸ˜†

They can't bring a fixed B747-100 (while HX keeps cooking more and more cool 747s).
Their 767s are nowhere to be found.
The A340s are now nothing more than forgotten samples.

To be quite honest, I think i'm being repetitive, because I still think exactly what I said here

The fact that people excuse NG’s release patterns as a cost saving strategy yet turn a blind eye to their CRP program which gives away hundreds of free models each cycle is mind blowing. It has less to do with cost than it does with their absolute stubbornness. And yet, there are others who will shut this criticism down because ā€œNG has the best moulds so they can do whatever they pleaseā€ Lol.

And we all know what will happen to those 172…. Absolutely nothing
they have released models on the CRP wishes - and (weirdly) not all of them have the 'approved' stamp. eg. the 2 Aeromexicos, the 2 Icelandairs.
Thus it's genuinely confusing.

Also their website has overlapping or incongruous data - so it adds to the confusion too.

Of course, I keep reminding myself - that in addition to GJ - NG is the only other major brand with a website and a functioning, user-friendly core database.

It's the CRP section that needs urgent streamlining

NG's management of the Wish Centre has been truly appalling. Such a good idea but so poorly managed in a variety of ways:

  • They should never have allowed people to request moulds they don't own
  • They should have sorted out the MD-80 and Tristar variants so they are searchable and fit to the mould not the type (no MD-81/82/83 etc just standard tailcone and screwdriver)
  • They should have actively merged and deleted duplicate wishes so voting wasn't split
  • They should remove or update wishes with incorrect data in them
  • They should only accept models into pre-production they can deliver within some named timespan
  • The search should actually work!
  • They should have made it clear how many votes a model needs to get to pre-production
  • They should make it clear how and when models are going to be selected (as currently there are lots of models unselected in among models selected)
  • They should select a spread across the moulds they have to get a decent diversity of releases
  • I still don't understand or haven't seen any benefit to voting outside of the status change

Etc etc

Having said all that the Wish Centre only dates from October and no models were selected until at least November. So in 8 months I would be surprised to see many wishes delivered given the lead time it takes to make the models. I am surprised they have managed to release 22 models from the list so far, although you suspect many of those would have been released anyway.

It 100% makes sense that some models will get released with a low number of votes (if they are new livery/airline combos) as they are models in the NG backlog to make anyway.

So no doubt I'll be accused of bias but I'd say overall the handling of this has been shambolic but it still has the potential to deliver if you take into account the production lead times. That doesn't mean I'm optimistic about it given recent experience though...

Now 185
some deep cuts too
Just had a look through the list. That's a lot of pre-production models but lots of B and N, and very modern mostly.

  • On the plus side there seem to be at least 5 or 6 747SPs and Tu-154s now and some good choices like Luxair, Air Namibia, Malev, VIA.
  • On the negative side don't see any extra L-1011s and only one extra MD-80 (Northwest). In fact a lot of the MD-80 wishes don't even show in searches.
  • The few extra 757s are all more modern or re-releases too.

They do have the best molds compared to the competition however the way things are trending, they are at risk of losing the edge if they don't fix their 747-100, 747-400, 767-300, 767-400 and fail to deliver on their A340's. They are not too big to fail.
