I am surprised I haven't seen more discussion about this, but then again it has been rather well hidden by JC themselves and wasn't initially included in the last set of announcements. Obviously, being JC when the mould arrives is anyone's guess but the latest 737-800 announced makes me almost 100% certain it will be using a new mould. It also wouldn't surprise me if Gemini release using this mould before the JC version gets to market:

Also interesting is that this continues the movement of flaps down into the narrowbody realm that HX began.

I wasn’t sure if it was a true new mold, or just a flaps down version of the old one. Looks like it’s new new.
I don't think they'd bother developing a new wing for the existing mould. After all a new wing would likely require new pylons and engines too anyway and by the time you've done that the fuselage barrel is only a tiny step further along. I had heard chat about this being in the works for sometime but this is the first concrete evidence of it

Can we be certain that except for the flaps down option, the mould will actually be better than the one they are already using ? If it is, then I can't wait to see what they will be releasing with this updated mould.

It's good to see JC Wings updating some of their moulds again. Their A320 series is in bad need of a new mould, and their A330/340 and A350 aren't that great either.

You never know. It is unlikely to be worse and relatively recent updates to their 747s and 777s have been much better

This is great! If they get rid of wing flex…

Unfortunately their A320 series is arguably one of their newer molds… I believe it’s been around since 2018 or so.
