My Year-long model airport project

Yeah, my biggest grudge is actually against scenes where a Pan Am 747 sits next to a Westjet 787 🥴
I do agree with that. I used to use my 1970s livery Ansett 727 with my starmark livery aircraft until I got the starmark livery 737-300 last year. Now I sits there looking resplendent on my shelf. I have been thinking of making a museum addition for NQX where I could put it and some QF 747s.

I’m personally against mixing liveries - yet, as certain eras can be left out a bit I can get it. I will have to start mixing eras as I’m not getting rid of my Canyon Blue 737-700, Unicon’s or my United 757.

Here’s some airport overview photos

These are the A Gates. They formerly were the cargo gates, but are being repurposed for passenger use for American Airlines and JetBlue. Cargo is being moved to a new facility across the runway.

These are the remodeled B gates. They currently house United and other Star Alliance traffic. Asiana has an interesting route here that flies Seoul-Guam-Honolulu-Seattle North

These are the C gates, and house most international wide-body traffic. These were remodeled a while ago.

Here are the D gates. For now they house Delta, Hawaiian, and Low cost traffic, but future expansions should give the LCC’s and ULCC’s their own concourse. Delta will soon be the sole airline at these gates.

In the corner you can see a portion of the E gates, which house Delta Connection, Contour and other regional traffic. The E gates also include four remote stands, which are used by Icelandair.

Here’s the whole airport. To the side of the runway, Four new concourses and several regional extensions will be constructed.

The F Gates will house all of Alaska Airlines’s operations.

The G Gates will be entirely United, and there will also be a regional extension for United Express.

The H Gates will house United, and various narrow-body international traffic.

The I gates will include all Low Cost airlines.

The small J gates will house my fictional airline NW Air Connect.

Also in this area is the Cargo Terminal, FBO, and GA section, as well as charter stands. The expansion will be slowly worked on over the next year.
