Model grass

Does anyone know how to smoothly remove model grass Mat from a wood surface without destroying the wood? I’m expanding my airport but I need to remove some grass. If anyone knows could you help me please!!

If it's on with an adhesive some heat may help to get it off

Try using a hair dryer to heat it up, I have done it before with some HO-scale train grass mats and they came off very easily.
