Guys… reading all of this has honestly been disheartening. This hobby has always been a place of passion, nostalgia, and connection, not division. This isn’t what brought any of us into aviation, and it’s certainly not what keeps us here.

Finally got my Gemini United Express E175 from Pandafox. all seems good except the usual engine upward tilt (aggravating) and my nose gear seems a bit short as it sits downwards at the nose, noticeable in person too. Gemini quality stays lacking from time to time

My 2 cents:

I paid 47$ for that United E175…and I should have returned it. It’s awful. It doesn’t look like the real thing and it’ll probably be a collection clog in a few years. I probably won’t buy many RJs from Gemini until they can prove to make these with quality. i’m dead serious there and it’s a bummer.

FAC has stated this will be a brand new mould, highest quality the scale has ever seen for RJs. Unfortunately that also means mostly nothing until we can see mould photos so I won’t comment on that too much yet but there’s high praise coming from that camp and we should take their word (even with a grain of salt) till proven otherwise.

IF it truly has little to no flaws, is a high quality model that comes in a well done box with a good stand and all, i’ll call 55$ for a “one off” exclusive fine. I’d rather pay 55$ to get a good model than roll the dice for a sh*t piece of metal that i’ll never want to get out of the box for 6$ cheaper.

This isn’t JC or GJ pumping out a ton of a singular model either with a ton of financial backing. V1:400 just announced models that will gently higher than usual counterparts and they were hit with a ton of praise so far?? I don’t understand how the two scenarios differ more than just a little bit (smaller production runs, smaller “startup” companies, etc)

idk, we all need to chill before we actually see the damn things imo… any bickering is over hypotheticals so far.

as for the airline choices, super cool and very welcome all around. I truly hope these things are cool and near to fully perfect. 55$ is steep but it’s not a deal breaker for a theoretical “best RJ the scale has ever seen”.

Yeah all this is pretty simple:

If they turn out nice - they’re worth $55 (to me at least)
If they turn out on par with Gemini - they’re probably not.

Time will tell, everyone hold your horses and go buy something else in the mean time.
