KPIT Spotting

DTW has one daily departure to KEF on Iceland Air @ 20:30 with the 737MAX and one daily departure on Delta @ 20:30 with the 757-200. They race each other every night :ROFLMAO:

I could see Delta or United adding an additional flight like that on top of what we already have here. very unlikely, but would be fun to see. Ours arrives at 7:20pm and an 8:30 departure. I think we’re 5/6 days a week right now like I mentioned before.

Haven’t posted in a little while but i’ve still been catching lots of cool stuff recently. Let’s start in chronological order. These first handful were from June 29.

Now we’re onto the morning of July 4th!

I wish I had just a bit more room on this one! Maybe next time the stairs and private plane won’t be there

The big July 4th visitor! An AirX Charters A340-300 chartered from Saudi Arabia. Presumably, carrying military personnel home from the middle east.

Two diversions from IAD on the 12th. the united turned back around about 3 hours sitting at the C gates but the Saudi sat on the ramp for hours, dealing with crew time outs and lots and lots of paper work to continue onwards.

A group of 7 T6 Texan IIs from Florida were visiting that day as well. It was cool to see them so close as they were parked only feet from the fence!

I have a few more to go on the editing side of things but i’ll post them as I get to them. Enjoy all the recent shots!

A bit visitor today from Dover AFB, a C5 Galaxy stopped by for a few hours this afternoon. It parked in a weird spot and didn’t get the nice golden hour light I really wanted but i’ll take what I can get :)

A fun day out on Tuesday! I had the day off of work and went out to grab the Buccaneers coming to town for their preseason game vs the Steelers but while hanging around there were lots of C17 activity and still experimenting with new locations with 28R/10L now open again.

Wright Patterson C17 visiting amongst the other C17 chaos today, 2-3 others were arriving or doing touch and go’s around this time! Those were all PIT based C17s though.

Came out to grab my first A300 the other day. had to skip out on the BA flight, a frontier A321 and the evening Alaska flight for this guy but very worth it! This is a relatively “new”frame being delivered in 2004.

Thankfully, look who started doing laps right afterwards! Surprisingly this is the first 135 i’ve photographed even though they’re based here along with the C17s. Many more in my future I assume!
