JC Wings 727-100 UDF

I know they've got a seam, but I am not anti-seam (nor anti-plastic, etc). Asides from that, I think JC's 727s are really good, and their -100 is better than their -200. This is a very cool release, I also have the MD-80 on pre-order. @YesterAirlines are you going to dedicate a piece to this unducted fan engine mold?

I did get this model, but it has been caught in the backlog and not sure if I'll review it. I also have the MD-80 UDF on preorder so as you say maybe a piece on the site for it might be good?

By the way, I was wondering if the whole UDF engine on this model is out of proportion. Here's a pic of the real:

The whole thing looks bigger... the pylon is also longer and too raised up when compared to the real version

Looking at that front shot I was thinking that it didn’t look right 😂. The whole UDF always looked odd, but the model looked extra odd. I have a feeling we might see it in 1:200 also, hopefully with better proportions.

Are the props static or do they spin? I think the prop blades should be shorter

There is no question that JC didn't refine the proportions of that engine. If I had to guess, I'd say they rushed things a bit to compete against Patriot and HX and their trend on innovative designs.

Yes I noticed this as well, although I wasn't entirely sure as my model came with the pylon broken and it took me an age to fix it. You are 100% right the engine is too big and the pylon canted too high, but I admit the model looks pretty good anyway. I actually think the blades are fine - just the nacelle is a little large.

@Jazajia they have already made this in 200 scale
