Is this worth a refund or considered a defected model

NG do well with all those things most of the time tbh quality control aside

NG's QC is no better or worse than the others, at least from my experience. The only issues I've had with them are detached parts (no breaks or paint chipping) and bent HF antennas on a 747SP. The former is an easy fix. I've gotten paint bubbling from JC, weird cockpit printing from GJ and a reversed nosegear from AV400. Can't do anything about those.

I've had the same problem on some NGs..detached or loose parts, but no damage or paint chipping....very easy fix.
