Hi everyone, my name is Shana R.
I’ve recently started working with Legacy Jets, where I’ll be helping manage social media and exploring ways to stay active on forums like this one. Looking forward to learning from the community, sharing insights and releases, and connecting with others in the diecast aviation space.

Please announce models in a realistic lead time. We have problems where JC Wings and AV400 announce models, we order them and the retailer takes the money. 1-2 years or more later and the models are still not available. If, as I have, other models are in the order they get caught up.

It damages the credibility of the manufacturer and I think in the long run results in less sales. Clearly they want to beat the competitors to market and capture sales, but it just means we stop ordering from those suppliers until we see the actual model 'in the wild'. Unless it is a really unique model or you do bring it to market first - this mechanism is going to just cause your brand to lose respect.

If you want to announce then call it a 'future' model and don't let retailers take orders from them until released.

We’re well aware of the long lead times seen with some brands in this industry. At Legacy Jets, we’ve put a system in place that we believe will improve that standard going forward, G-d willing.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, our ERJ175 project experienced a delay. Even so, the models arrived on March 25th instead of December 2025, which we consider an acceptable adjustment given the delay.

thanks for your response. Everyone has unforeseen circumstances and, as a new entrant, I'm sure you have come across problems scaling up. And that's perfectly fine and understandable. I'm talking about when the brands deliberately announce and take orders for models they have no intention of producing in even the near term.
All the best :)
