Hello from Aero Polaris – We'd love your feedback & wishlist!

I'd love to see a globe livery United Airlines 737-800!

I flew on N79521 in December 2023.

If you are down to do 2 registrations like how you did the United EvoBlue Boeing 737-800s, I'll suggest N33266 in addition to N79521. This aircraft is a former Continental bird.

A few more suggestions (very Alaska Airlines-heavy):
  • Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800 N535AS with split scimitar winglets in the old livery with the lei tail. This livery and aircraft combination has not been released since 2015. Alaska Airlines began putting Hawaiian leis on their ETOPS Boeing 737-800s beginning in September 2007 to promote their new routes to Hawaii. This particular registration was one of the final few Lei-tailed Boeing 737-800s flying before being painted in Alaska's most recent standard livery in spring 2021.

  • Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800 N528AS with split scimitar winglets in the old livery. This was the final non-ETOPS 737-800 delivered to Alaska Airlines. The standard Alaska Boeing 737-800 (without the lei on the tail) has not been released in 1:400 scale since 2005; when this airline first started flying 737-800s. I flew on this exact registration from LAX-SEA in August 2015.
    1774574518412.png
  • Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800 N581AS. The last 1:400 release of an Alaska Airlines 737-800 in the newest livery was back in spring 2020.
    1774576288758.png
  • Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-900ER N224AK. This was Alaska's first aircraft with an -AK registration in a very long time, and all of Alaska's new aircraft since April 2016 have -AK registrations. The last 1:400 release of an Alaska Airlines 737-900ER in the newest livery was back in spring 2021.
    1774576653451.png
  • Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-900ER N477AS in the 2015 interim livery. Alaska Airlines painted a few of their aircraft in this livery back in 2015, not too long before they unveiled their current livery. This livery has never been released in 1:400 scale, and I feel like it's very under-rated.
    1774578897669.png
  • Alaska Airlines 737 Max 9 N713AL. This is perhaps one of the most highly requested airline/aircraft combinations in 1:400 scale when it comes to US carriers. It's been 7 years since the last (and only) release in 1:400 scale and the 737 Max 9 is a vital part of Alaska's fleet. The demand might even be enough for 2 registrations; and in that case, I'll suggest N958AK.

Although these suggestions are obviously just from North America, I genuinely appreciate your willingness to cast a wide net when it comes to the geographical representation of your releases. :)

A few 737-800s from my wishlist:

American Airlines N901NN (and N986NN, if possible down the road):
I know others have suggested regs for this aircraft too, but I flew on this reg as part of a special trip and it would be awesome if you could perhaps consider releasing multiple regs including this one, like you guys did for the United 738.

Korean Air HL7568 SkyTeam:
This one is a little more niche, but a SkyTeam Korean Air 738 hasn't been done in a very long time and this one also holds a special place in my heart as one of my first flights and also the reg that I've flown on three times.

Delta A321 N112DN:
If the A320 family moulds are in the works, it would be great to see a Delta A321 release. The last time we got a good one was from 2020 by NG, and not to mention the newer regs (N1##DN) have never been made.

Thanks for doing this and I'd be happy to provide additional details for either regs if you'd like!
Nice reg suggestions! Hope we can do these for you

Thank you for your hints! We need to hear voice from North America;)

*reality check*
In 2025 Aero Polaris made about 50 models, which is a decent return. Even if they double their production (which I doubt they will) at least half of it will always be China focused so hypothetically that leves 50 slots for other models - a good chunk of which will be A350s (of which arguably there are none that need making ever again considering the amount of competition and 740 existing releases!)

As nice as these request threads are I can't think of one that has ever really borne any fruit and they always do suggest that manufacturers really don't have a clear idea of what they are doing or why. Airliners.net would arguably give a list as useful and there are obviously hundreds of 737NGs that could be made - whether they should be is another question, but again without understanding what a brand is trying to do, their distribution network and the MOQ giving sensible options is a little challenging.

I like Aero Polaris and they've made some nice niche Chinese 737NGs, which I have appreciated (and I own 17 of) BUT yeah *reality check* sums it up well. There are more 400 scale brands than ever and more 400 releases than ever but the releases are arguably duller than ever too and partly because the people making the models appear to lack initiative or aviation knowledge (or just chase safety first and obvious sales volumes).
