Has your wishlist become shorter in 2024?

With 2024 being almost over, I looked back at my wishlist for this year and only one model has been released, the Pulkovo TU-154 by Aeroclassics. All other purchases were simply because they look cool.

I have high hopes for 2025, as there are some moulds in development that fit my narrow criteria, although I'm afraid manufacturers will keep releasing niche / hybrid liveries instead of the big sellers.

What about your year? Did 2024 meet your expectations or not at all? Also share your top 3 most wanted models for next year (with existing moulds), mine are:

1) Aeroflot AN-26/32 standard livery
2) KLM DC-7 diagonal striped tail
3) Pulkovo TU-134

I would say 2024 met my expectations regarding growing my classic/retro/modern-classic collection as GJ and AC made up the bulk of my purchases of new releases. While I don’t have a full wishlist written down I had a lot of subjects in mind and a good chunk of them were made this year.

My wish list became much shorter. 10 items on my wish list were released this year, thanks to Aeroclassics and Gemini Jets. I hope that 2025 brings some more classic MD-80s that are still on my list...(hopefully NG will get it going soon)

For 2025, the top 3 on my wish list are:
1. USAir MD-80 in last (blue tail) scheme.
2 Northwest MD-80 in "bowling shoe" scheme
3. Presidential 737-200.

My wishlist is still big. Was happy to see Continental Globe DC-10s finally come out. Now I want md-80 and 737-300 globes.

Top 3 for 2025 are

1. TranStar md-80
2. Midwest Express md-88( 80s colors)
3. Pride Air 727-200

Wishlist is huge, but 2024 didn’t deliver at all. It’s frustrating because my criteria is extremely low hanging fruit considering the moulds available.

I’ll consider 25 a great year if any one of these is released without issue:

1. KAL 747-8i (NG)
2. SQ 777-300 (NG)
3. KAL A350-900 (NG or PM)

2024 was pretty good for me though. Viasa 722, TAME 722s, Viasa A300, Lacsa A320, TACA 733, and Varig 762 were all top-tier releases for me. There were quite a few other pretty good second-tier ones: LAB 763 and Iberia A346. Those were all new releases. As far as finds, only the Continental Connection Saab 340.

Top three for next year:

1) Servivensa 727-200
2) Aeropostal DC-9-50 (any of the early 1990s liveries)
3) Avensa 757-200

I'd also like to see those Continentals a lot, but not quite on my top three.

My wishlist is too niche and some of the models can only be obtained if I custom them! lol
To be honest, I think it became a bit bigger!

2024 for me has been fine. Wish that there was more variety to other continents like Africa or South America and more wanted European models… anyway

My wish’s for 2025
1:Northwest MD-80 (Bowling shoe)
2:Continental MD-80 (Meatball)
3:EasyJet a319

NG came up with some real head-scratcher releases this year. Looking back though, a fairly large amount of my wishlist/request has been checked off, including N405DX, N9620D, and N78866. Their 767 does feel a little underwhelming so hopefully they'll get to fix that the upcoming year.

Current wishlist:
1. ANA 787-8 JA832A
2. Korean Air A330-300 HL8002
3. American 737-800 N901NN

I understand these maybe aren't the most exciting subjects for everyone, but with sentimental value paired with some odd release droughts (especially KE) these would be great to see.

My wishlist started fairly small. Focusing on Icelandair models of all types and liveries. Well that is still a list in progress which I have had some success. The sad reality is that now my wishlist is one I fear I will never see the end of. The more I search the more I want. Thank heavens I have no children or dependants, I would be burdened with explaining that their inheritance now can be seen on shelves in my apartment. On that note, I am off to increase that so called inheritance, Happy Holiday's everyone!!!

After collecting 1:400 models for 24 years I have only one big wish:

Loftleiðir CL-44

Flew them Gothenburg-Keflavik-Gothenburg often as a kid/teenager. I got the Loftleiðir DC-6B and Icelandair B727 already so the CL-44 deeply missed from my youth flying experience.

Only question, who can/will do it?

Steinar

PH’s 7701 is a not-too-shabby alternative, though it sucks having to compromise all the time.
Right. Believe they were the first to ever release one with the new titles. If PH manages to remember to put the reg on the starboard wing I'll probably get it.

I'm still chipping away at my Icelandair collection. Who knew they would be so popular and hard to get your hands on.
