Do you all have a favorite brand in your model collection? Is there a brand for each model that is a priority, or do you all prioritize themes.

I prioritize brands for my own collection:
The B777 series is a controversial place, to be honest I like the Phoenix and the accuracy of the mods is better compared to NG's mods, but with the Phoenix I'm now considering all but a few specific subjects for the time being, after all, I really don't like the effect of the engine blades he has now!!!........... I'm actually looking forward to HX and PM producing the B777 series, SQ and HX are in partnership and SQ has already announced their 200 scale B777 model. I'm sure soon HX will produce their own 400 scale model as well.
A321 /320; 737 series (Panda Models as well as oem and NG Phoenix).
B757-200 NG/Phoenix;757-300 NG
B767 Series Panda Models/Phoenix
MD11 Series Panda Models
B747 Series (HX and OME)
A380 Series HX ; AV(Mainly Emirates.),Phoenix before engine blade modification
A330 Series NG and Older AC
B787 NG
C919 NG
A350 NG Panda Models
A340-600 Phoenix
A340-300 Aeroclassics (consider subsequent NG products here)
A300 YU
As for the MD-80 series, it's not in the collection yet, considering NG and DW.
There's also a Patriot model here, although he doesn't have his own grinders, and mainly uses HX and Panda Models, I really like their packaging design style, and they really put a lot of effort into the design, it's a work of art in my mind, but I'd still choose them depending on the subject matter.

Hahaha, the 2024-2025 collection is growing!!!!!!!!!

I have personally grown to love AV400. They just make a really good and diverse set of wide bodies with top of the line moulds. Only thing that’s annoying is the wait times for some models. Been over a year for the American 777-300ER.
 
I collect most brands - that said I really like NG for the level of detail - and buy them if given a choice. But they hardly produce what I collect (classic widebodies & European models) or are late to market hence I have not many (under 5% of my collection).

I only buy Phoenix when it comes to Qatar and Etihad models as I feel they capture the shade of the livery the best. I also got lots of PHX thanks to the amazing diversity what they produce and the fact that they are mostly the first to market with a model.

Same for the KLM Orange Pride. Gave up and bought NG.

I can second this
I do make certain exceptions for other brands - if they have the mould of the types NG/Panda don't.

I try to collect as many brands as possible. My collecting criteria (US models) enables me to reach most manufacturers out there, but the one that I prioritize most is Gemini Jets because of their catering to the US market. In recent years they’ve gotten most of my business whenever they release something I want or need, though I try to balance it out with other brands like NG so I don’t have an all-GJ collection. In fact, they make up two-thirds of it!

I agree with a lot of this, but don't forget Panda has A320s, 737-700/800 and MD-11s too.

I'd also choose the Phoenix over the GJ/JC for A330s and A340s. For the A340-500/600s the JC / GJ mould is an old seamed version not the slot in wings mould they use for the series 300

I don't personally rate the Phoenix 777 much either

Yes, however it's not that much the detail, more the accuracy to the eye for me.
So it's NG/Panda on one hand and an interest for 1950's to 80's on the other.
A rather cheap intersection of sets.
 
NG makes up about 2/3 of my collection, followed by Gemini and Panda, but I do have at least one from each of the other current main brands (AC, AV400, JC, Phoenix). NG has just been the most reliable combination of quality product and release choices that fit my criteria, albeit not as many as maybe 2-3 years ago.

Actually, for the A340-300 I think it would be a good idea to consider the AC if the right deal came along, after all, they didn't make a bad one before.

OK, I'm Google Chrome automatically reacts to the page in my native language, which makes it a bit confusing to tell if the text I've translated and copied and pasted shows up in English or in my native language ......

Indeed, it feels like some of NG's products are just reflashed registration numbers ...... It feels like selling excess products from stock

For Etihad I would prioritize the Phoenix, it restores that texture better
