Critical Aviator 1/400 collection

Air France Boeing 777-328ER F-GZNC in the Barcode livery by Phoenix. F-GZNC is the last 777-328ER to be delivered to Air France before the introduction of the 2009 Barcode livery.

F-GZNC is heading to Teruel. That means there (probably) will be one less AF B77W in the 2009 Barcode livery and one more in the Crevette livery. Unless it is just being reconfigured or stored due to the current ‘situation’.

IMG_2199.jpegIMG_2200.jpegIt just landed and parked at the ramp. Hopefully this is for reconfiguration and not for a repaint. F-GSQY, F-GZNP and F-GZNR recently received the new config and still have the 2009 livery 😄

F-GZNT (2023 3 class config) is leaving Teruel this afternoon after 10 days of storage or maintenance. It already had the new livery before and there is no hint of a reconfiguration yet.
In any case, it looks like it’s not quite ready to return to service. Otherwise why would it go to ORY ? I think I remember that F-GZNT had already been reconfigured back in 2024 but maybe there has been a new config for three class B77Ws ? Or is it getting a four class cabin ? Maybe its just some maintenance ?

It is just maintenance. There have only ever been 2 generations of 3 class (non-COI) config: the first came in 2006 and the second one in 2023. F-GZNT has received the 2023 config in 2024 like you said.

I guess it went to Teruel for short storage and now heading to ORY for maintenance (or in order to receive the new 4 class config). There are multiple AF 777 in ORY for maintenance these days (for ex: F-GZND) so this is probably the reason why they send some of them to Teruel.

In medium-long term, AF might only have two config for their 77Ws: 4 class (2025) and 3 class COI (2017). The 2023 3 class (non-COI) was only launched to get rid of the very old 2006 seats.
