Heading to NYC this weekend and wondering if anyone knew of any stores there that have models in stock.

Yeah a bit ago, someone said that the Miami shop was next??? But I can't confirm that, it was from a customer who came in the retail store

Miami is an aviation mecca. It says a lot about how niche and cost-prohibitive this hobby is when Miami is left with no stores. Then again, I don't want to sound too pessimistic, with e-commerce there are stores in virtually (pun intended) every city
. I ship quite a bit to Miami, I am sure you do too, Scott?

I really like physical stores. it's nice to go see the models and talk with people at. I love going to squatchy's, as it's my closest physical store, and a great one at that. I go every time I pass through Seattle.

I would have thought a place like NYC would have something.
I've been on the Miami store a few years ago and sadly the prices were quite steep.

Whats the closest brick and mortars to the northeast? NYC, PHL, BOS, PIT, BWI areas?

There aren't many of us brick and mortar to be honest. DG Pilot in MN, and one in the Chicago area. Otherwise it's a bit of a desert for the in person stores

Agreed, I went there in November 2024 with Connor and I could only get myself to buy something from their clearance section — I did get an Eastern 777 for $35 though!I've been on the Miami store a few years ago and sadly the prices were quite steep.
I really need to get myself back to Grayland in Chicago — went there in 2019, wonder how much has changed since.

IIRC, The Airplane Shop only carries licensed models, no? So, not only overpriced, but a dull selection, too.
Similarly, Grayland Station only carried brands distributed by ADI when I visited in 2021. Although I recall someone here saying they have a wider catalog now.

. I do have customers/friends come buy in person with some regularity. I'm already eyeing another wall to shelve up!
