The worst. I always have a youtube video or a show on and a heavy pour tequila cranberry to power through large sections

Most of my work I do at night, from 10-11pm generally so I mostly work in silence which is just the worst tile drawing time. But, when I have zero distractions I just lock in and get the work done.

Here’s another update for today!

Ground markings more finished:



Decided to add the regional spots, which looks like this. They’re capable to hold up to dash 8s and RJ7s. Here’s how that setup can look:



And here’s one with more of a CRJ focus,. in configurations like this, an E145 could still park normally with a jetway at “A4”, as shown here:



Getting pretty far tongiht! basic weathering has been completed. I’m going to poke and prod at it the rest of the night and send it to bed with a couple coats of a matte clear coat. I can still add and change certain things afterwards but it’ll protect everything i’ve done today:



Grass, more details, and putting planes on it are the next steps!

Where did you get the jetways.

Clipper Models! They were custom made for my PIT diorama, you could ask him for the same ones and he could make you some. Although, I think he has since made a new design since these were made.

UPS man knocked! I recieved my terminal from TarmacDesigns. It needs minor tweaks but i’m satisfied with the results!



Ignore the messy looking background, I hope to find some kind of good backdrop for this to sit on a shelf someday.





These are some closeups of TarmacDesigns new jetbridges. I don’t know if they are fully available for sale yet. They’re the first 3 tier bridges i’ve ever seen in this scale, an accuracy thing I hope comes more and more in the future! They’re not perfectly designed but from my experiences with some other 3D printed bridges, these are up there on my favorites list.



Working on PHL again, that should be wrapped up soon and then I can start to begin work on the next big projects!

Three part jetway are a must have for my DCA. Wish the awnings (ends) were a bit better and I wish the parts were shorter, but looks good overall!

I’m actually asking him to make the same design but have all 3 sections just be a bit shorter, like Gemini’s jetways. I’d grab 2 so I can have a bit more wiggle room with certain aircraft on this board. Hopefully he can do that for me!

I agree! 3D printing can only take you so far but it’s absolutely nice enough for what I need. The models are the real show here, the buildings are just an accessory!
