ALL NG 'Future' 1:400 Release Announcements (Rednote / Instagram / website / etc)

I can't find any information about the KE, maybe it's a fantasy model?
More, the NG's website shows the registration is HL2016, but in the picture, it's HL8816.:unsure:Both registration haven't existed.
It’s a fantasy.

What’s frustrating is they’d rather do fantasies of the hideous new livery than much-needed releases in the old. You could say they did a few early this year, and you’d be right, except all had massive issues.

I’m mainly just making fun of these odd schemes with people’s headshots on them… Not something you ever see in the West.

Someone explain to me why this was done?
What I can deduce - It's a fantasy scheme with the members of BLACKPINK celebrating their current 'Deadline' world tour.
They're the biggest band in the world right now.

NG had released the KE BLACKPINK scheme couple of years ago on the eve of their previous world tour - and it sold out in a jiffy - quite literally.

KE and BLACKPINK have a continuing partnership which includes visuals and videos - you'll find them on YT - but I can't find anything on this livery, which is presumably a fantasy scheme for the fans.

LH had an A346 with football players, and Air Serbia has quite literally faces of national icons on two of their aircraft.
Norwegian has the same strategy of historical figures on their tails -
This is what I recall offhand
So it's not true that you don't see this in the West , that's an assumption šŸ˜…šŸ˜

I’m wasn’t referencing tail logos and their liveries i.e. Hawaiian, Alaska, Norwegian I was talking about special livery’s with actual headshots.

Let me correct myself: Not very common in the West.

I'm not referring to Hawaiian and Alaska at all, just like I'm not referring Aeromexico - ie artworks or cartoons or logos etc

I'm referring to actual 'photos' as decals etc on the aircraft - what you were referring to. It's more common in the West than you'd think actually

Norwegian's livery was/is quite literally just headshots - like these for example - and there's more than these - so yeah I think if we count them all individually, the headshots in the West outnumber those in Asia 🤣

And there's this LH A346

And then there was this from LEVEL

And the latest - this AC A333 Winter Olympics special

Oh and how can one forget - the Swiss 'Faces' scheme

Brussels had Rene Magritte

ā€œMid airline, whose only outstanding feature was its livery, continues to torpedo its brand.ā€ More news at 11!

I don’t want to cause controversy, but why do we get a K-Pop fantasy livery over models we’ve been asking for so long to get. (More frontier tails, American 319)

Pick any of these as your answers as they are all true:
  • Most of these brands are run by Asian people in Asian countries who release models they see and understand
  • Free trade is alive and well in Asia so the brands don't have to worry about unhinged US politics upsetting their financials
  • There are 51 million people in South Korea who might be interested in this model
  • A quick wikipedia of this group tells me they have 40 billion streams and 20 million records sold worldwide so there is presumably a massive mostly Asian fanbase for them
  • This is a widebody model and widebodies sell better than narrowbodies
  • This release crosses the boundaries and clearly isn't primarily aimed at 400 scale collectors

I can't say I'm a fan of this group, the KE livery or this fantasy model but clearly the financials on this model are a slamdunk - whereas an American A319 has a much much smaller target audience.

and there's a plus: some models are sold not to diehard collectors like us, but to kids, teenagers, people who simply enjoy planes without going deep into it, etc. Some people might buy it as a souvenir

I get it. I just think that there is a big chance that more people want more American narrowbodys.
