Same! I was even thinking about preordering until the pictures came out on their website. Now I am glad I didn’t (you can never predict NG’s accuracy for wide-bodies). Their new 777 mould is really good and it is a shame that the printing doesn’t match the same level of accuracy.
Btw if you are looking for China Eastern 77W, there is AV400 B-2025 next release which has more realistic cockpit windows (not 100% perfect but definitely the best in 1/400 scale, in my opinion
)

It's nice to see so many 747s being rolled out. But come on! Do we really need so many Singapore Airlines 747-400 Tropical liveries? From the old DW, AV400, and PH to the current HX, SQ, JC, APOLLO, and NG, there are simply too many.

Agreed. The nonsense of copying each other's releases is annoying. This is also another weakness of the wishlist system. That is 6 new versions of this livery in the past few months.It's nice to see so many 747s being rolled out. But come on! Do we really need so many Singapore Airlines 747-400 Tropical liveries? From the old DW, AV400, and PH to the current HX, SQ, JC, APOLLO, and NG, there are simply too many.
(Think back to when this was so hard to come by,but now it has become an oversupply, which is really terrible.

Especially because we have so many unmet topics to explore with 747’s.. Feels like we’re chasing our tails here. We don’t get enough 747’s and then all of a sudden everyone has a 747 mold but now everyone with a mold is releasing the same material and we’re still stuck with the lack of 747’s.

Especially when they not only copy subjects but also artwork. I mean, of all the Tropicals released so far NOT ONE correctly rendered Singapore's painting pattern for a 744.
It appears they all copied what the first one (DW?) did back then.
Only the announced JC version seems to be based on genuine research.

Same here. Far too much going on in this scheme.
All of the Tropical releases I've seen have the standard light grey painted wings, engines, pylons and stabs. A pattern that is standard in the world of scale modeling but was more exception than rule on real 747s.
A Singapore 744 needs light grey (BAC707) engines and pylons, medium grey (BAC7025) wings and white h.stabs, with corogard on both.
Seems like only JC went for those 5mins of research with their recently announced version while all others (incl. HX and NG) just copied what was previosely done.
