For such a small country, Malta has one amazing looking national airline. It’s surprising that no one has ever made them in 1/400 😀😀

hopefully that’ll change if NG/Panda decide to make them!

This would be great, I see air Malta frequently at Heathrow and would love to see their beautiful livery on a model

AC has recently made the Air Malta B.737-MAX 8
Nope! they have made the Malta Air one, which is not the good national carrier AirMalta (which only operates A320s), and it’s a totally different airline. Malta Air is a Ryanair subsidiary operating from Malta, but it’s just Ryanair at the end, nothing special about it unlike the actual flagship airline.

Thanks for your reply and information!! Much appreciated! I know very little about this area.

Yeah Malta Air is a Ryanair spin off in association with the Maltese government. Certain Max 8's have been rebranded, although I think it fair to say, not many have touched Maltese soil ? Other Ryanair sub brands are Buzz (Poland) and Lauda Air (Austria) as well as the regular liveried but G registered 737-800's of Ryanair UK.
