I myself want the toothpaste over the current livery in diecast form. No desire to get the 3D printed version. This one’s a pass for me. 3DD’s looks far better. Don’t know why they didn’t make the new livery Q400 which is much rarer
Toothpaste is fine but in terms of quality 3DD is way better. And it is super hard to find the modern livery for modern day setupsI myself want the toothpaste over the current livery in diecast form. No desire to get the 3D printed
Quality if you’re looking for plastic models which I am not.Toothpaste is fine but in terms of quality 3DD is way better. And it is super hard to find the modern livery for modern day setups
Unfortunately 3DD is your best option right now. If I had higher standards on printing I’d pick them 10 times out of 10.Quality if you’re looking for plastic models which I am not.
One thing I’ve started to dislike about my 3DD models is how light it is.Unfortunately 3DD is your best option right now. If I had higher standards on printing I’d pick them 10 times out of 10.
3DD holds up really well to diecast — I see them worth trying, especially for the Northwest Mesaba Dash 8.
The lightweight feel is definitely off-putting for a lot of people I’ve talked with. But that’s just the nature of the material, and for the subject matters they’re doing, it’s a trade-off I would be willing to accept. One thing I’ve started to dislike about my 3DD models is how light it is.
Might be plastic, but it looks great, just like diecast. The Q400 mould from JC looks pretty bad. Especially the gearQuality if you’re looking for plastic models which I am not.
That’s fine I have nothing against 3DD and totally understand why people like them. However I quit collecting plastic models when I transitioned to die cast because they were die cast. I would rather stick to that realm and don’t have much interest going back to plastic models even if they’re the same scale.Unfortunately 3DD is your best option right now. For me, I don't give a damn if it's plastic or diecast and (for the most part) I don't give a lot of focus on the moulds. For me, however, the printing is the most important. I'd get bad mould but good printing over good mould but bad printing. That’s fine I have nothing against 3DD and totally understand why people like them. To each their own and I think 3DD has done a fantastic job with their product. To me though plastic and die-cast even if they’re the same scale are their own categories and I don’t have much interest in plastic models.Might be plastic, but it looks great, just like diecast.
