In 2000, Qantas hoped Boeing would launch an extended-range 747, and the 747-400ER was thus born. Compared with the 747-400, the 747-400ER increased fuel tank capacity, enhanced fuselage and landing gear strength, adopted new LCD screens in the cockpit, and the cabin replaced with a brand-new interior. Qantas was the sole customer of the 747-400ER, while the 747-400ERF had many users including Air France.
HX performed well on this aircraft, especially the blue paint below the waistline and the white paint above it, with distinct textures. The printing details are as excellent as always.
【Hong Kong Kai Tak Airport was closed in the early morning of July 6, 1998, and today marks the 10,000th day since its closure. Kai Tak Airport’s first flight record dates back to January 24, 1925, and 2025 also marks its 100th anniversary. New progress has been made in the accident investigation of the MD-11 a couple of days ago, and the world’s first 77W was retired not long ago… On such a special yet plain day, please allow me to pay tribute to that unruly era.】
