Yankee Victor 400 Airplane Model Shop Updates

Long time with no "business" updates on the forums, so let's fix that.

I know by now many of you know that I have a model shop, and several members here have bought models from me (thanks y'all!), but many active collectors on the forums continue to act surprised when they realize that I have a proper retail operation going. So here's a bump on that: www.yankeevictor400.com is my personal model photo and blog site, though a number of fellow collectors have contributed to it, most notably @Mark22.

For approximately 6 months, I have also been running a model shop that can be accessed at www.yankeevictor400.shop (.shop instead of .com).

I sell most major brands, except NG. I have talked with them, but it seems we are both busy enough. They have enough customers, and I have enough stock from the other manufacturers, but I plan on working something out with them in due time.

Besides most major brands, I have also been one of the few U.S. retailers carrying 3D Design Deck products. I have been very pleased with what they offer, and so have many customers.

As of now, I have also been the only retailer carrying Patriot Models inside U.S. borders. As an active member of the collecting community, I know that the bulk of Patriot Models entering the U.S. come from Canada and directly from China. Still, it has been an honor to be the only store offering them domestically to U.S. collectors. I know this will likely change in the future, but hey, I gotta brag about it while I can, haha...

Another exclusive market that I am honored to participate in is that of Aeroclassics. I don't take part in the monthly grand announcement like Eztoys, JetCollector, and Squatchy's do, but I am one of a handful of "backup" retailers that you can keep in your back pocket if you miss out on something during the monthly announcement day.

And that's a good summary of where we stand. I am due for a clearance sale to make up some space, and move the stragglers whose share has already been paid by the better-performing models... Keep an eye out 😉

I have been neglected my blog since the shop is taking up much of my time, but I have plenty of material that will see the light in due time; now with the added bonus of having a perspective from the other side of the fence...

Getting them ready for the Monday morning mail run.

From one to two packages once or twice a week, it is now not rare to see scenes like the one pictured below a few days every week.

Thanks to all of you who have purchased models from Yankee Victor 400. I know many of you know me as a guy who spends too much time on the forums, and likes to take photos of, and write about models. Yet a few of you have also trusted me enough to give me your money in hopes that I deliver an airplane model to you, and that I stand up to the task when it comes to providing customer service and support. I think it is safe to say that it has been a good run, not without its challenges and hiccups, of course, but I'll take it!

Do you want to know what's inside those boxes??
