I hadn't intended this week to be all about regionals but that's where it has taken me. I feel they are often overlooked in 400 scale, but despite their small size there are some great models available courtesy of 3D Design Deck, Gemini Jets and Aeroclassics. Here I look through all the aircraft available (excluding the big E Jets) and look at what the future might bring.

No mention to the Fokker 50? So sad to see very few releases of this nice bird. I think only JC Wings did it. Damn tall gears on it, though :(
I have one F50 model but it's 3D printed.

There’s a couple Saab 2000s that float around in the States for charter use, operated by Freight Runners Express. I’ve seen them at my local airport, often for collegiate athletics. I think it’d be a good niche release.

Good catch. There's a couple in Alaska now with Aleutian too (you just reminded me) but my focus here is proper mainstream regional airlines from before 2000 rather than these oddballs.

This would be a great one off release. They bounce around everywhere for basketball and other college charters like you said and i’ve seen this one and any others in the fleet in Pittsburgh frequently during the school year. I’m sure lots of other large and small airports in the US see these too so i’d love to see it made at least once!

I absolutely adore commuters and regional jets, especially from the U.S. Loved the video Richard!

Here’s my fleet of RJ’s.

4x GJ United Express CRJ550
1x GJ United Express E175 (Trying to source three more)
1x GJ Air Wisconsin CRJ200
1x 3DD SkyWest CRJ200
1x GJ American Eagle CRJ200
1x Delta Connection CRJ900

My fleet is quite small, but it’s always growing.
