My CRP model from NG came with similar scuffs and scratches on the fuselage.. Not sure if this is something NG can fix but makes me think some of their CRP models are their QC throwaways.

Oh wow, I didn’t expect to see other collectors with the same paint issues with this model, must've been more of a bunch problem than I thought originally. What you said about their CRP models potentially being throwaways has me thinking as well.

I have for the most part not had too many issues with the CRP models and QC. I however had a couple models with minor issues but have heard other collectors express concern that this was the case. I saw your video and was hoping mine didn’t turn out the same and sure enough… I have been able to scrub away some of the scuff marks but there is underlying scratching in the paint but overall not as noticeable as the dirt marks.

The scuffs are from the cradle being too tight and rubbing against the paint. Have seen similar issues with other NG large bodies e.g. the Lufthansa retro 748 that many collectors received with nose smudges.

Thanks for the insight as I have never run into this issue with NG before.

I was able to rub away some of the scuff marks but there are scratches in the paint that you cannot fix underneath. Unfortunate as I don’t believe I will be able to get a replacement due to this being a CRP model.
