I also heard a rumor that this NBA livery A380 release (the official one) is banned from selling in Asia. There’s also a flaps down version available from this YY release and I think the standard version has been out since August or possibly earlier.

That is true, unless your store really knows you and they were able to get them through other methods.

Kind of contradicting those statements.. This model is easy to obtain if you go looking for it. But yes, most stores do not advertise this product for reason's we all know why..

Also the blue gradient is absent in this photo. Looks off compared to the GJ release... need more pics

But where have you seen it available for sale? You won't find it on eBay, Carousell, and definitely online retail shops. Maybe on Taobao or some mainland Chinese sites but it's not easy unless you know how to access it. You have to have connection with someone (seller) who knows you well to get you this model. I have a source saying the sellers don't sell this model to everyone only known buyers because it's unlicensed they just have to be careful, and in Asia even the official GJ version cannot be easily purchased anywhere.

When they released the A350s, retailers got hit with cease and desists from EK telling them not to sell those models.
