A mould that NG Models appears to have forgotten about is the McDonnell Douglas MD-87. So far they have only made a trio of SAS examples in colours too modern for me. It puzzles me why they would make a mould and then not use it at all, although I believe a couple of 87s are approved wishes. Previous output for the MD-87 in 400 scale has been 6 models (on 3 different moulds), 5 of which are Japanese. I own the AA Dragon Wings version and just had the opportunity to add this Jet-X Japan Air System example from 2009.

The Jet-X mould is actually really nice, although cockpit printing here is less so.
For a range of options for MD-87s I wrote a comprehensive wishlist, which can be found here:

Incidentally at the new website the wishlists will get their own separate area making them, I hope, easier to find and use.
I can't say I'm especially hopeful that we'll see any MD-87s from NG in 2026

There were only 75 MD-87s built but if you lived in Europe the type was a common visitor to most major airports courtesy of being a member of the fleet of a lot of existing MD-80 operators. With literally a handful of MD-87s made in 400 scale to date the
