DAC was enough in health about 1:400 scale with a such interesting discussions and debates even if not so polite like this Forum.
Now i abandoned It because i did not like the general behaviour with too many people thinking to be the "navel of scale models world" and with a bad attitude towards other members and fellow collectors. No more way for these stupid things.
But want we open a speech about Wings900, once D.A.C. big brother and once scale models world Bible and now a " walking dead" since the database was crashed and no more updated???
But i don't want to open a "Pandora's box" or a "can of worms" (like we say in Italy).
All opinions are absolutely accepted, but you can disagree. Every opinion should be expressed politely and respectfully toward others, always knowing that one's freedom ends when another's begins, and vice versa.
Of course, if on a website, discussing the problems of the 1:500 scale and Herpa—problems that are plain for all to see—the response is that the problems with the 1:500 scale are due to the fact that non-German speakers must learn German because otherwise they don't understand Herpa's thinking and projects, and they say untrue things and somehow tarnish Herpa, well, I feel like that's crazy.
The same goes for the 1:400 scale. Undoubtedly, Aeroclassics and JCWings are the two manufacturers with the most flaws and errors in their liveries and some details, at least compared to NGModels, Gemini and Phoenix. If those who say this are accused of having a poorly identified personal antipathy towards those who manage Aeroclassics and JCWings, I feel like saying that this too is madness! Also because, in my opinion, it is essential to post photos of model airplanes to verify, admire, compare and check for imperfections, mistakes, minor or gross errors, or completely incorrect models.
The problem with these forums is that there are an average of 200 guests online and only two or three members! I signed up for Wings900 20 years ago, and I don't even remember DAC. I even tried, as a moderator, to encourage people to participate in the debate, to sign up to become full members and participate and have an impact on the discussion, but no important results. Shyness, fear of being insulted by the usual trolls, insecurity, lack of a database, carelessness, lack of the constant presence of one of the owners... many factors influence lack of participation. It's normal that if a member approaches the forum for the first time by introducing himself, perhaps writing in poor English, posting imperfect photos of his models or airports, or simply expressing his timid opinions on the 1:400 or 1:500 or 1:200 world, and the usual troll or the usual idiot or group of idiots attack him like a pack of wolves, no one will become a full member again and the forum dies.
Not because i am here but i think that this Forum remained the only in apparently health, with a good debate especially about 1:400 scale.
Maybe 1:500 scale forum needs to be improves, but respect Wings900, D.A.C and other Forums there is no way.
Just my thought.
