The progress of Chinese airlines and aerospace in general over the past twenty years has been spectacular. The C919 is their hope for competing against the NEOs and MAX, in China at least and after the expected delays the type is now in service. Even so, it's future success is hard to be certain of due to a variety of factors, some out of its control.
