The COMAC C919 Achieves Certification & Looks to the Future

The progress of Chinese airlines and aerospace in general over the past twenty years has been spectacular. The C919 is their hope for competing against the NEOs and MAX, in China at least and after the expected delays the type is now in service. Even so, it's future success is hard to be certain of due to a variety of factors, some out of its control. In this piece I take a look at the development and service entry with the help of an NG model and some lovely badges I was sent:

The models look very good and well done! Sadly it's not a subject I'd care about... doesn't fit my collecting criteria at all.

I'll pick this up when there's one in the gorgeous China Southern livery. And hopefully China Eastern will make one wear a 'retro' scheme - but, well.
