inally after weeks of waiting and scrolling through rednote / xiaohongshu, the SQ Wings B787-9 LH 100 years anniversary is finally here!! I initially pre ordered the Gemini Jets version in 1/200 but I decided to cancel the order upon seeing the SQ Wings version in factory production knowing that GJ prices are insane with terrible quality control & assurance and also often screwing the colours despite having the licence to produce the models which means they technically can get the exact colours used by the airline however GJ often screws it up.
I must say though, this SQ Wings version is fucking amazing. Box looks sick, feels like the Louis Vuitton of diecast airliners if you ask me
. It also comes with a collector card and very realistic landing gears which sadly other brands have yet to replicate. One thing is for sure, the SQ Wings model I got is cheaper than GJ and for far superior quality. I paid 110 usd for this model and I believe I am probably the first few to have the model outside of china as I pre ordered the model early on. Anyways, would I recommend it? Hell yess!! Go for it!
