@OAKFlyer these are wonderful! Really love that Air Europa 757 and the Hispania 737. Britannia 767 is also a beauty!
That Spantax DC-10, I remember that old Herpa release from a set with another DC-10 (AfricaOne?).

Do you plan to create a diorama with these models? Would be super cool to see.

Finally got around to picking up a couple of the recent flurry of 727s from Gemini - starting with the Delta -100, and Northwest Orient -200. These models are not without their deficiencies (cradle mould and engine exhausts stand out most to me) but overall I’m very pleased with them and happy to see GJ giving more attention to classicsIMG_6492.jpegIMG_6494.jpegIMG_6493.jpegIMG_6496.jpeg

SkyWest CRJ-200 - I don't think you can notice, but on the second photo it has a large smudge near and on the door.

Great choices! I have the two CRJ-200’s - fantastic little models from them.

It'll be great for GJ to release/re-release the long-727 variants for TWA, Eastern, UA Saul Bass and Delta, as well as revisit the 727s from non-US mainline / legacy carriers such as Condor, Lufthansa, Air Canada, ANA, JAL, Avianca, VASP, (off-hand list).
Between an AC & GJ 727 - the GJ obviously wins by quite some distance (i.e. only when GJ gets their act together).

Just like on a Juneyao 787, the oainted wingtips really help to offset and balance the otherwise bland white fuselage. There was something nice about the erstwhile sky blue and the 'shadow logo' - but as we can see with so many 'refreshed' legacy airline liveries now - bland 2D corporate minimalist monochrome is the in-thing for 'rebranding' a legacy airline - Korean and Transavia being the most recent ones. The other problematic extreme is the maximalist exoticism of the new Air India.

A great example of a recent refresh that perhaps is able to skirt the pitfalls of the extremes - is say, the new TAAG and Icelandair. Of course one can argue whether a refresh was even necessary.

I just hope that legacy airlines like ANA, Air China, Delta, China Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Air Canada and China Southern, off-hand, amongst others, retain their brand identities, built over years on recognition and assured self-confidence. Marketing BS derived from Moore's Law needs to be relegated to the incinerator the sooner the better.

That and a continental globe 727-200, i’ve got the AC release but would love for gemini to make it too.

We need more globe CO point blank period. Not that we’ve never gotten any but getting them on good modern molds are incredibly hard to come by. Anything on Ebay is just silly expensive and I see mostly meatball anyways. I’d love for NG to do a range of 737s and GJ to do some 727s eventually.

A CO globe 727-200 would be really sweet…

I haven’t checked in a while, but isn’t the DW 727-200 easy to find? Not a bad model though.

Here and there? Yes. The DHL combo livery is easier to find for cheap I believe. I'm not too crazy about the Dragon 727 mould unfortunately. Maybe if I got one in hand i'd say a little different but the nose section just really feels classic Dragon Wings chunky in a bad way.

Also, just to continue my CO rant in general, when I say there haven't been a lot of globe scheme releases, I more mean the classic narrow bodies you'd see everywhere in the US. Mostly because their fleet is composed of planes that don't have many great molds in the scale or manufacturers particularly interested in them.

727-200 - Aeroclassics 2018, then two dragon releases in 2000. Would be great to have with antennas and rolling gear at least.
737-300 - recently got some good love from JC
737-300/500 - None made, Panda maybe?? / no great mold, one GJ release 2011
737-700/800/900/9ER - NG PLEASE, one 737-800 in 2019 and the rest are old GJ 2000s molds or Aeroclassics meh
757-200 - one single NG release from that glorious 2018 release year. Before that it is old GJ or Herpa early 2000s molds
757-300 - hahahahahaaha pls NG again
DC-9s - Will say the two recent AC releases of the -30 and -50 have been great. Trying to get one or both soon and I hope Andrew would continue to make them but knowing him....it'll never happen again.
MD80s - Literally never been made (NG!!!!!)

Sooo a few decent options, sure, but theres plenty that could be done considering this scheme was worn from 1991 till collapse in 2010. It wouldn't be too hard to make United and CO versions of certain models either since everything but the titles remains. Shocked it hasn't happened more tbh.

In Houston we prefer the term merger over collapse 😆. To be more specific, we prefer to say “when Continental took over United.” J/K.

I can’t believe nobody has released an MD-80 in the globe livery. I think we might see it from Phoenix before we see it from NG.

Couldn’t have said it better myself, I was lucky to snag the NG 738 back when it first came out. Wasn’t seriously collecting yet then. I just got it because it was the first one popped up 😅

UGH I need all of these, HEAVY on the 737s, especially now that I actually am working on an airport.

Luckily I'm in pretty good shape here. All that I really need are the 737-300, and of course the MD-80. I have the others even if they're not on the greatest molds.
