Show Your Latest 1:400 Purchase

It's not all A380s here this week. This Cathay Pacific A330 is a new arrival at the hangar. The NG A330 now joins their A350s and 777s in having the standhole removed. This being the ultimate collection edition it comes with the new style cradle stand.

Not sure if this is a hot take but A330 feels like an underrated aircraft. It is the backbones of so many airlines around the world! Amazing in CX livery <3

Cathay A330’s don’t fit in my collection criteria, but I would 100% buy one or two. They look absolutely amazing!

Fuji Dream - the Japanese Braniff - just saw its fleet double with this order from a fellow collector. With the dark blue and red models joining my light blue and silver, I just need the white, gold, and the faux "fantasy" green (turquoise) to complete the existing 1:400 fleet. JC is long overdue for a new release!!

Just one of the eight models? I purchased at the MCO Show today. Picked this one up for only $20 to start my US Airways collection.

@bakejobb_23, proud of my choice??🤣

While on an old and tired mold it’s still a great model. It’s another one of those remakes I hope 3DDD makes in the coming years on their stellar product! That’s a great price too. You could easily turn around and sell that on ebay for more than double what you paid for that. Enjoy the model!

I got these on 7 March during the SFO Collectibles Show

First the Gemini Jets 1:400 737-500 for United Airlines in Battleship Grey. Very applicable release. Hopefully we see a Saul Bass and Blue Tulip rerelease.

Second, the Dragon Wings 1:400 737-300 for Shuttle By United in Battleship Grey. Yes she’s old, and nowhere near the standards of today, but I like her a lot more now, compared to when I first purchased her. She also only cost me $33, so I can’t complain.

Overall, I think I got some good purchases from the show, and had an absolute blast with my friends there and during spotting afterwards.

The mould sucks. The nose is what makes it really bad. It’s fine, it’s a small model. Here it is next to some 3DD. Including a new put CB add from today, a SkyWest CRJ-200. Great model! The tail looks a little purple though - probably just the light.IMG_7363.jpeg

As a point of interest, what is your criteria if you don't mind sharing?

I just buy what I like, sometimes relevance to me personally, sometimes I just think it looks great. While I have no real affinity for for Delta, albeit having flown them quite a bit, I find I have a largish selection of Delta already given I think they do some fabulous special liveries an interesting planes.

I understand once you get into the hundreds of models you do probably need to be a bit more selective than "it just looks nice".
