Beautiful pics 👏👏👏

I’m now making up for lost time 😅 I found Courtney the Cougar on eBay for an excellent price, so I was quick to buy it.

With this addition I’m now at 14 of the 25 tails in 1:400 scale! (this includes the custom tail, Peachy the Fox, I got in a previous order)

Frontier’s would be easy customs. I should try one out. That would be a popular one to sell I’m sure.

Long time no see...
For whatever reasons I haven't post for quite a long time, like almost half of a year. Anyway here's (some of) new models that are joined my fleet since then:

HX Model/YY Wings China Eastern MD-11F B-2173:

The details are impressive:

It's now highly competitive when compared with Panda's mould, especially when its price is not more than 2/3 of Panda's at most. But imo this PW engine version is of the best quality, especially this China Eastern livery. Their GE engine versions aren't that soild.

HX Model/YY Wings Boeing House Color B747-8F N863GT:

Sadly, the last Jumbo. It's kind of an old product, have been released for a while.

The patterns on the fuselarge printed very well too, but seems like the windshield is printed a bit low.

imo all HX's 747 moulds except the -300/-400 all having a forehead that far too shallow.

JC Wings ROKAF E-7A 65-328:
7e94b174d006e09360909fa3501f1914_副本.jpg

An interesting mould, didn't quite resembled JC's typical 737NG mould. The nose seems pointier (although with poorly painted windshield), the wing joints are different, and - very interesting - the horizontal and vertical stabs are made of plastic. The NLG is obviously too large, with tyres spread beyond NLG doors.

I got this model with extreme cheap price - only ¥99! Although the model arrives with a wing and NLG detached, I'm still very happy since I got such a great bargain - a brand new, intact one will take me over ¥250. I have always been interested in EW/AEW aircraft, so this is imo one of my best collection in 2025.

HX Model/YY Wings Air China/China Eastern/China Southern B747-400F B-2409/B-2428/B-2473:

HX's B-2428 is gorgeous, way more better than the poor Phoenix one (thought I didn't have one).

Rumors said that B-2409 will be sold very soon. That means there will be only 2x 747-400Fs remained in Air China fleet. Sad.

HX Model/YY Wings Cathay Pacific B747-300 VR-HON:

The most satisfied collection I've got in 2025. Although with the wrong wingspan (simply using -400 wings and removed the winglet), the overall shape and livery details of the model are perfect.

Dragon Wings JapanAsia B747-300 JA8189:38efb8a6c40bf405705bde5a5f5e4d26_副本.jpg
DW's 747 mould is still impressive. The only problem I found is the dihedral angle of both wings aren't consist, with one wing is higher than another.

And finally, a model I just received yesterday, and probably will annoyed Richard:

You may asked, why I still buy a Phoenix 747? Well the answer is it's cheap - I got it from an auction on Taobao, and it cost me only ¥169. That's almost the price of JetHut.

There was another PH 747 that was on auction, an EL AL one, that one end up will even cheaper, only ¥79. Yes, less than $15 for a 747. I wonder who snagged such a big deal.

If PH always selling their 747s at such price, I think no one will blame them anymore. However they usually sold them at over ¥300. With that price, it's no wonder buyers could be picky.

I'm starting to collect classic airplanes, and I have to say that this SAS DC-9 and an Iberia Cargo DC-8 I have, both from Aeroclassics, are very good.

I think it's time to start getting more classics for my dioramas.View attachment 71385

I agree with your statement. I now got obsessed with getting these little classic gems, which i was fortunate to pick up during the last month.

I'm a huge fan of classics jets from the 1960s up to the 1990s, but the majority of my collection relates to the golden era of civil aviation from the 1960s and 70s, and the 1980s.
Therefore, you will later see that most of my fleet types include the Boeing 707, 727, 737-200, and Douglas DC-8s and DC-9s, and I have a few 747s too.

Aeroclassics forms the backbone of my large extensive collections, and although there is divided opinion regarding their products, I can't get enough of them, and they have some really superb models, as shown in these photos.

1) Inex-Adria (70s/80s colors)- DC-9-33RC- YU-AHW.

2) Iberia (80s colors)- DC-9-32- EC-BIJ

3) Lufthansa (80s colors)- Boeing 727-230- D-ABCI 'Chrome' "Karlsruhe"

Enjoy the photos.

Thomas.
