Couple of recent Luxembourgian releases from Aeroclassics doubling my Luxair fleet to 4. Luxair started pure-jet operations only in 1970 with a Caravelle VI-R and added a further pair in 1972 leased from Austrian Airlines. LX-LGF was built in 1964 and had been OE-LCI with Austrian. In June 1978 she left the fleet and joined SANSA of Colombia as HC-BFN. The Caravelles were replaced by 737-200s. Prior to the jets Luxair had flown a single Viscount 815, which they'd picked up secondhand from Hawker Siddeley in April 1966. It had originally flown for PIA as AP-AJG. This aircraft was damaged beyond repair in December 1969 at Findel.

Family got me tied up late last night after UPS dropped off my Wildcat order - I bought the Habitat for Humanity 767 off of his collection sale, and the Mesa Beech 1900D by @3D Design Deck. I had high expectations for the 1900 but I was still blown away - it's not tail heavy unlike my Shapeways counterpart, the printing is crisp, and the propeller blades spin! I look forward to picking up the USAir Express example when that gets released. You'll see me unbox this, plus several more models I picked up recently, in my newest Massive Unboxing video.

Also worth noting the size difference between the two models - it's amazing what 3D printing has done to change the game.

UPS came knocking, as well as a local friend all within a few hours of eachother. 4 new models for the collection!

First up from JetCollector, My recent CRP model, the NG Lite 747-100. This one came with a broken wingtip probe, they differ in lengths just a tad and it honestly doesn’t bother me, you can hardly tell even in my photos. The fuselage finish is a bit odd and not quite smooth, but the build of the thing is pretty nice! I’m happy enough for a “free” model.

Next up is the recently released British Airways A350-1000. This is now the biggest and longest plane in my collection, as well as my first A350! a great model that will definitely come in handy for model airports.

These last two were dropped off by a local friend who was getting rid of some models, thankfully some I really needed! Outside of them being stupid dusty and a few gently loose wing parts, they’re welcome additions to the collection!

if a company remembered that u.s. airways existed and actually made models of it (especially regionals), I would definitely build DCA 2005. BA 350 looks amazing!

early 2000s DCA is still on my list! Just trying to plan out an appropriately sized board first. I keep going back and forth between just doing one of the terminals, adding in the infamous 35X gate regional ramp, and at that point your at the size where you might as well make it a couple inches bigger and include a runway section. Hard decisions🤣

I actually think my next project will be the circa. 2017 ramp with maybe a piece of runway 15 after I finish up CVG.

I totally forgot about that NG 747-100... when talking about 747 Classics, they really promised a lot and didn't deliver.
Some lovely models you got there! That US Airways 757 looks great in that undeniable dark blue scheme. That dark blue shade reminds me of Darth Vader's dark blue costume, and Batman's dark blue suit 🤪

It was the only crazy appealing thing on the CRP list this last time for me. My first 747 in my collection! It’s not a perfect release but as far as “free” 747s are concerned, like I said i’m happy enough lol. Hopefully first of many for the type for me!

also, Batman has blue versions!!!! Darth vader I have no comeback.🤣 Either way this livery never grows old on me. I just want it back in the skies.🥲

Just arrived, JCWings Swiss A340-300 HB-JMB.

IMG_20260103_180832.jpgIMG_20260103_180843.jpgIMG_20260103_180854.jpgIMG_20260103_180914.jpgIMG_20260103_180958.jpgIMG_20260103_180937.jpgIMG_20260103_180925.jpg

The overall impression is good even if the model seems "sitting" on the landing gear and the nose section seems a bit different respect the real airplane. But maybe it is just a my impression. The nose landing gear goes from 4.5 to 6 meters for max extension and 6 meters are about 1.5 mm in 1:400 scale so the nose landing gear lenght should be right. Even the nose section seems to have the right angle and the cockpit windows seems to be right placed.
Here a comparison with Lufthansa A340-300.

Two customs I got from my friend I forgot to show here -

soon to be Delta E175, I cut the enhanced winglets to be non enhanced. Still not very happy with the look, but I’d rest her have it non enhanced then enhanced for all my projects. It also doubles as a second E170-175 for DCA which almost always has at least one Delta 175 on the ground at B terminal.

Second is an Ex-Malaysia 737-800 by NG, going to be a Delta 737-800.IMG_5280.jpegIMG_5279.jpeg

Jethut, Air China 737-800 (B-6106)
IMG_20260102_024936.jpgIMG_20260102_025106.jpgIMG_20260102_030630.jpgIMG_20260102_025341.jpg

Some people may have noticed that this 738 is different from the previous molds. Did Jethut update the mold? No, it didn't. This time, Jethut CA and MF 738 are manufactured by PM (again, no aerial version), so the quality has obviously improved significantly. Perhaps that's a good thing?
