Just received this model today.

This model is okay but has one engine slightly angled up and I noticed a big colour difference of the fuselage compared to the previous V Australia model from Phoenix. Here’s the two models next to each for comparison.

I have the Virgin on pre-order at Aviation-center Berlin and after seeing the pictures I'm not sure I want it. To dark and brownish. The colours on the V Australia are much nicer.

Edit : If you check the pictures on their website, it seems alot lighter than yours.

Panda Model, Garuda Indonesia MD-11 (PK-GII)

I always wanted this GA MD-11, but it's an exclusive Indonesian product and very difficult to obtain. However, I recently saw it being sold on Taobao, so I quickly placed an order. It arrived safely.
However, it's a pity that this PK-GII was sold to another airline after only five years of service with GA.

Dragon Wings, Canadian DC-10-30 (C-FCRE, Spirit of Canadian livery)

It cost 149 HKD, which was quite worthwhile.

These two models are classic three-engine passenger aircraft, but with the relaxation of ETOPS and rising fuel prices, their use has been limited. The recent UPS crash also grounded the MD-11, it is unknown whether it will ever have the opportunity to fly again.

Yeah, I am pretty disappointed and underwhelmed with this model. It is definitely way darker than I expected and quality isn’t that great. Maybe I got a dud or something. I saw someone else post their model a page back and it looked pretty okay. I’m hoping maybe another brand will make this model as I’ve always wanted the hybrid livery but didn’t like the look of Apollos model. Might have to consider the Apollo model now haha.

My last foray into the world of Fokker 100s is this recent eBay addition. PH-KLH was never operated by TAT, but did wear this hybrid scheme for a short while in 1989, presumably for marketing reasons. The aircraft was delivered new to KLM, but did fly some leases with Air Littoral in 90/91. Transferred to KLM UK in 1998 as G-UKFP she spent most of the rest of her career from June 2000 to December 2013 with Montenegro Airlines as YU-AOK and later 4O-AOK. TAT (Touraine Air Transport) would operate 14 F100s at various times prior to its merger with Air Liberte in 1997. This is an early JC Wings release from 2009.

Black Friday Part 1 - it really did me in, didn't it?

Wildcat's sale was too good to pass up on. 15% base deal and 20% with $100 spent. So I snagged the United 735, Korean 739, and one of the Flying Honus. As for the BoA, that came over from @YankeeVictor400.com amid his Cyber Monday sale. Had to get that one in honor of a friend who loves the airline.

Another recent arrival is this East Line Il-62M by Phoenix.
Sadly also some issues on this model like a high window line, the misaligned green area on the tail or the terribly hand painted (?) wheel hubs.
Hoping for the Interflug...

The gray is way too light, and it’s way too nose up….You learn to accept a few of these things but I won’t stop complaining about them. A great model choice nonetheless the less.

Pro - A great subject, printing on mine seems excellent, first 757-300 for me! The silver color is actually really nice too, something I thought they would get wrong like some other recent silver releases.
Cons - Not on NGs mould

Honestly a super solid model, very happy and glad I waited to get a decent deal!

Aviation400, ANA 777-300ER (JA795A)


This is my first purchase of the AV400 777, and it looks pretty good. But, the AV needs further improvement in QC; the landing gear door is protruding/stained, and the bracket won't fit.

Black Friday Part 2 - The Doorcrashers!

Well JetCollector wasn't afraid to demolish pricing on a lot of unmovable stock, so I cashed in and got four models for the price of one. Northwest DC-8 is lovely despite its age from GJ; the Spirit is great for fleet building (hopefully they pull through); Vets In Blue is nice for now, hopefully NG or GJ make this one yet; and the Evergreen Electra is a great retro addition.

A recent addition courtesy of Northeast Diecast is CS-TBS 'Gago Countinho' the second of 5 new 727-282 Advanceds delivered to TAP from 1975-1981. TAP would later add 3 ex-Delta 727-232s in December 1986, all of which would go to its charter subsidiary Air Atlantis in 1987. By then they had lost CS-TBR to a nasty runway overrun at Funchal in 1977. This airframe stayed with TAP until November 1991 when she was sold to SAETA of Ecuador as HC-BRG. The rest of the 727s left the fleet the same year as new Airbus A320s arrived to replace them.



I'd only added the TAP 727-82 CS-TBM in August so CS-TBS makes a nice companion for the older jet. This addition brings my TAP fleet up to 11, not bad for an airline that is far from a core one in my collection. Both models by Aeroclassics obviously and both made in 2009.

I had that TAP 727-200 (unless AC has done more than one). Bought it on a whim when new, and sold it at cost less than a month later. Good memories. I have since built a smaller TAP collection subjects that are more relevant to me.

Man what a great model. It doesn’t fit into my collection criteria but it was too beautiful to pass up on, especially with a great deal from TexanAirplaneStore for 42usd flat. From what I can see it’s as flawless as can be and this mould is truly something to behold in person compared to photographs online. I highly recommend grabbing this one if you haven’t already!
