Another day, another delivery. This time is an Aeroclassics AA A321…lots of A’s. This one became what is the now Allegheny retro, N579UW. I paid way too much for this but it’s aeroclassics…what can you do.

This is D-AIKK, -300ceo model, but the black -bandid mask Ilis really elegant.
Some small imperfections on the lower part of the fuselage, but the model is nice.

Recent arrivals:
My 2nd PBY Catalina from Herpa - this one is a US Navy frame in an early WWII-era scheme. These models are super tiny but very neat and obscure.


Also grabbed 2 more of last month’s Aeroclassics DC-8’s - just couldn’t resist! The ATI is a neat one with the combi configuration and nice to add a new airline to the fleet.

HX’s “tropical” Singapore 744, 9V-SPK. Feels good to be getting regular-ish 747 releases on decent moulds.

Perfection is not part of our world but Gemini also has some flaws: here already bubbles on the lower part of the fuselage, tampo print problems?
Anyway the model is nice.

Another new arrival for me today. I swear just a few more on their way before i probably go into model hibernation for a few weeks. This is N904AW, a special America West livery showcasing the Arizona Diamondbacks MLB team. Super cool colors on this one and now I only have 3 total 757s left to complete the set, one old livery, one new livery, and the Phoenix Suns livery!

I miss these dearly, even though I was but a small child when they were around I’d much rather have this than the euro white style we have around today.

Unfortunately, Euro white is the fix for high fuel consumption and weight savings in today's industry... The 90's and 2000's were a different time and much more colorful for sure!

African classics always hold a certain mystique to me. They usually come with exotic liveries, great histories and tragic endings. This Air Zaire DC-10 has been one of the last I needed in my collection. I don't think I'd ever seen it for sale, but recently two have appeared on eBay and I managed to pick this one up. 9Q-CLI was delivered in June 1973 and served with the flag carrier all the way until 1992. Few nations have had such a disastrous history as the DRC (formerly Zaire) and Mobuto's horrific 32 year reign in the country covered this DC-10's entire career, during which at times he would requisition the DC-10 for his wife's shopping trips to Paris, in between his usual programme of executions, torture, kleptocracy and nepotism. Regardless 'Mont Ngaliema' looks awesome in her Air Zaire livery.

My largest order of models ever arrived this week. All four are NG releases and are utterly fantastic. I have another 2 models on the way with one arriving next week.


NG Lite Lufthansa 747-8I Retro Livery D-ABYT. This joins my Gemini Lufthansa new livery 747-8I.

NG Hainan Airlines A330-343 B-5905. The A330-300 is my favourite airbus aircraft, so to finally have one is very exciting.

NG Kuwait Airways Airbus A330-841N. While I'm not the biggest fan of the A330-900 (it feels like airbus tried making a mini A350), I love the A330-800. And I feel that Kuwait's current livery works well on anything.


And finally, NG United 737 MAX-9 N27520. This is the second United model in my collection (after a GJ UA 77W), and the first MAX-9 in my collection.
