Show Your Latest 1:400 Purchase

Three arrivals came in last week but I was a bit busy with study work and was able to finish yesterday. Here they are:

A model which I have requested for a long time to GJ (who I had hope for doing the 74S of the same operator) and Phoenix. Fortunately, PHX came to rescue with the beautiful Las Vegas Sands A340-541 VP-BMS. The aircraft was acquired due to the need for flying direct from the Strips to Singapore, which the SP could not achieve. The colors are well-made and the model was cast on such a nice mould.

Then, a model which I hesitate to get when it was fully in-stock, AirCaraibes A350-1041 F-HMIL by Aviation400. I couldn’t wait for NG version. It came with a loose antenna but that would be just fine, I guess?

And finally, a new arrival for 2025, a model which does not align fully with my collecting criteria but it is nonetheless, amazing to collect. Introducing NASA B747-123SCA N905NA by Patriot Models. Further details will be available in the photoshoot thread.

A composition of my latest 2 packages, one of which has been showcased in a full thread. So, here they are.

The delightful SABENA B747-329(M) OO-SGD by EuroClassic - a model that I did not imagine to have in my collection turned real. I don’t get quite lucky when I go on a "quest" for some models - which I would end up paying a lot.

Also arrived together with the Sabena but from a different shop based in the same nation is this Chinese private airline - Juneyao Air A320-251N B-30C9 by PandaModels. When this model was conveniently offered with a hood price - I neglected it as I avoided collecting Chinese airlines. When I started taking in Chinese carriers - it was sold out. I then got the A321neo from HYJL as the representative for Juneyao - which is also a nice model. The special scheme for Juneyao is represented by the Genshin 789, whose window line is placed too high. When i saw this A320neo for bidding, I just wanted to cast my bid and yes, I got it.

Just arrived moments away are these 3 Boeing narrowbodies. Starting off with a MyHobbyHouse exclusive - Asia Cargo Express B737-4Q8(F) 9M-POS by PandaModels. The real frame still carries the same scheme and reg despite an operator change. I am also amazed by how the seller packed this model: he trimmed 2 side of the box so that it could fit in the package. The model arrived safe and sound. Big kudos to him!

More 757s to my fantasy fleet - this time is an Eastern B757-225 N521EA by NG Models. Some light chrome tarnish is visible for this 6-year-old model (albeit much better than her sistership which was discussed on a thread here at MAF).

Finally - the stretched 757 version and surprsingly only my 2nd B753 - Icelandair B757-3E7(WL) TF-ISX by GJ with the special scheme commemorating 100 years of Iceland independence in 2018. Sadly, an antenna was missing - which I did not take notice of. Nonetheless, I am still happy with this purchase. Hopefully i can get some antennas to replace for some of my models too. Hopefully NG gets their 753 to work and we could see this beautiful scheme being produced once again. The real machine currently flies for Uzbek carrier FlyKhiva, who kept this c/s but stripped FI’s logo and title and replaced with theirs. NG’s variant production could make this as well.
