Show Your Latest 1:400 Purchase

That’s way too much at BIN. I’d say the starting bid is already at a stupid amount - it’s set at the average these have closed for at auction! I’ve seen quite a few of these over the past year, with some ending lower than £100, after 7+ day listings starting at 0.99 or around £20.

It is normally too much for me, but this model has been one of my grails for far too long… This is the first one I have seen pop up in Australia for a while, and I don’t have a problem paying that much for a model that I really want. I agree that it is ridiculous but sometimes you gotta do you what you gotta do.

Frustrating to see but fair enough - the fact that it’s available within Australia will of course make it much easier for you in that regard. Maybe keep an eye on it for another couple of days, there very likely won’t be any bids, and you could try and make an offer?

I never believd that I could find these liveries in great mould at acceptable prices(250HKD/~32USD each) - many thanks to the seller:LOL::LOL:

Wow... Absolutely divine! I would love to own the SQ one day, but I think I would rather wait for it to be rereleased than hunt one down.

Finally the Phoenix Buzz-Ryanair 737 Max 8-200 is released.

What is the price of new releases in Australia, need a reference...
Something upwards of ~$100AUD for widebodies, ~$80-90AUD for narrowbodies and then anywhere from $60-80AUD for regional aircraft. However, recently things have been pushed up drastically, especially from GJ and any of the Australian models, because people know they can sell them no matter what. I recently bought the GJ Qantas A380 for $130AUD! Ridiculous. Resale markets on eBay are really stupid, there are a few sellers that try and sell nothing for under $100, even with small narrowbodies. They then sell larger models for upwards of $150AUD. Very greedy and infuriating. I try not to pay anything over ~$150 for a model unless I really want it.

Wow that explains a lot. I get a decent number of orders from Australian customers and would wonder why they would order from an American retailer and pay the extra shipping costs but it likely might be cheaper if they order enough models at once versus ordering from a local retailer in Australia based off what you’re saying.

It is... Whenever I do a big order, especially for widebodies, overseas is almost always cheaper, even with shipping. I don't mind having to wait if it saves me money!
