Phoenix wheels melting acrylic?

I have a very particular situation and was wondering if anybody else encountered similar issues. I had bought some acrylic drawer stacks to store/display 1/400 models. They work great - only B747-8 and A380s won’t fit. I was however encountering an issue I was not expecting - Phoenix models in particular started sticking and melting into the acrylic. Anybody else ever encountered such issues? Can anyone explain why that may be? You can see the wheel imprints in the 2nd picture.IMG_0634.jpegIMG_0633.jpeg

Are these really damages to the plastic or can it be wiped away? What kind of acrylic is it?
Usually, these models are covered in a protective oil (often referred to as "white oil") which ideally is near inert. So I'm really curious what we see here.
Another question: what do the wheels of the affected models feel like? Are they sticky? Could be emerging plastizisers then. I'm not sure whether they actually react with the acrylic or just leave a sticky residue.

I also have the same issue!.

Had this as well on an ikea cabinet with some acrylic plates. Somehow a few models in the collection tend to leak a sort of water like substance via the wheels on the plates. On glass you can clean it afterwards but on acrylic it stains it. Curious if it's indeed the oil that Phantom is talking about.

The only explanation I have is that a lower quality ("tech") white oil was used here instead of medicinal grade. Not sure whether there are any regulations regarding their useage on such product. I'd hoped for med white oil here.
