Official Launch of the YankeeVictor400 Airplane Model Shop

I will have to remain a small player for a while and work with what I have as the business gains some traction.
A word of advice if you will. Focus on your community. Living near YYZ, my retailers really focus on AC, WestJet, and Porter releases. It works really well for them. As a Houston-based shop, I suggest you focus on United. UA is already a high-demand airline but I think you will find more success that way. I'm certainly no expert but I think that this strategy will work best for you. Best of luck to your store!

Thanks!

Absolutely, I remember when we had physical model shops in Houston, they were heavy on Southwest models. Continental was not too well represented in the model world.

In the internet era it is more difficult to develop that regional connection. But I do have a lot of airlines relevant to this region in stock (United, Southwest and Avelo). I figured they can be popular at the anual show here, which by the way is coming up on December 7.

Window to the other side: Panda had me sweating bullets with this shipment... they somehow miscalculated on their end and wanted to short me on a lot of them, and in fact, completely canceled my order of the Delta 764 BCRF ribbon. Nobody had pre-ordered those from me, so I gave them up since they did not have enough to fulfill all pre-orders from other retailers. Luckily in the end I was able to find enough pieces to fulfill all my pre-orders.

The TACAs are gone... I'm keeping one for my collection fo course, but I wish I could have kept more given how rare popular it became 🤑. Some collectors really scored with the introductory prices I had. I should have cranked the prices up 😝 but they just flew of the shelves before I had a chance to react.

The rest is performing well, except the Delta 764s, especially the SkyTeam one, I got stuck with a ton of those. Oddly enough, Panda is having me pack the 764s at home... Hopefully, all the white boxes have what they say they have inside 😅

Pics courtesy of the wife, I'm on a westbound trip around the globe. Currently in ANC ✌️

Panda pre-orders have always been tricky - a reason why many retailers have, until very recently, refrained from taking pre-orders for the brand, or even stocking them.
Both my A350 pre-orders got cancelled due to Panda not fulfilling the numbers
As such, I hope they manage to sort it out - considering I've pre-ordered the MD-11s and D-ABUM

The MD-11s are going to be popular I think. I didn’t scramble to list them when announced, for this reason. What I did is enable a very small number of pre orders. Less than half of my total order. I figured even if they have to cut my orders in half, I could still fulfill pre-orders.

I had issues in the past as a collector with retailers not being able to deliver. So I know ir happens, but I want to avoid it at all costs if possible.
