Here's part 1 of this week's A380 content. NG's new A380 includes several features NG had been moving away from, but continues with others. The result is a competitive A380, but one that could do with a selection of small tweaks in a variety of areas to realise its full potential:

Have NG been responsive to feedback in your end? NG stopped responding to my emails in recent months. I'd understand if they no longer have time to respond to individuals but I certainly hope they still look at your reviews at least. I just read through the review and these are important points even if they appear minor.

I sent them the link but haven't heard anything. NG aren't as forthcoming as they once were for sure.

The nose is the worst thing on the model and like you mentioned Richard, it’s mostly not the end of the world. Hopefully they nail the cockpit windows which will be the biggest gripe with many i'm sure. Everything else mentioned is entirely valid but doesn’t matter to me personally when picking what mold to buy. What will matter will seem to be AV400s gears and other bells and whistles in comparison.

also, Obligatory: “wHeReS tHe a340s 767S aNd 747s????”

The sudden dramatic shift in strategy from NG, namely the return of hollow-core engiens and tilting gears, must be an indication of a change in leadership at the brand. I recall this being speculated upon a while ago - perhaps it could also explain the new release strategy. The mould itself is good, but the A380s should not be a priority considering more pressing releases (MD-80s etc.) are still to be made!

That and the return of better global variety too. Hopefully once we're past the upcoming April announcements we'll see what they'll do the rest of the year.

I've seen no indication that there has been any change in leadership. Same people.

I suspect that the changes between this mould and the others could be due to either the A380 being larger so them thinking they can carry off those attributes, a different factory producing this sample to the others or feedack from customers.
