Life has been busy lately but I finally got around to going through some recent photos and this thread. This isn’t a kind of release i’d normally grab but my girlfriend loves the color green and horses so it kinda worked out well. I’m happy with this model, the detail is really great and the livery design is fantastic. The “Ultimate” box is a nice touch and there’s some great words in english and Chinese.
I believe this symbol on the tail translates very plainly to “Horse”
The swirls and little cloud like elements in this scheme are just beautiful and incredibly detailed.
These stylized horses on the back end is one of my favorite parts of the jet. The tones of orange and tans brought throughout are a great touch to a very mint green aircraft.
The underside is a bit plain considering the rest but nothing ugly by any means either. The top looks beautiful with the cloud like design carrying above and around the top of the fuselage.
I unfortunately never took and close ups of the box so if anyone is interested I can take a few good ones!
Has anyone else gotten these Chinese New Year releases? Checking MADb, they’ve only done this one other time the year before with a 757-300 for the Year of the Snake. I hope this becomes a long tradition on some interesting molds. Imagine a year designed on a Tristar, or on one of the 747 molds!
