It's a bug. When you joined the wish, the website didn't show your flag but rather the flag of the country the previous person who last joined the wish was from. But it fixes itself and in fact, I just checked and in your case it is fixed now.

There already is a virgin 787 wish with 10+ votes, wouldn’t it be better just to continue voting in that instead of splitting votes?

Some of us reg collect Virgin Atlantic aircraft for the different names so I don’t see it being a bad thing. It’s the same as people collecting the different Frontier tails!
