Same here. This long thin cheatline just doesn't look right on a long twin. Let's wait and see.

My bet is on a mica finish.
Is this official at all? Doesn't look like a pro rendering at all.

It is official, and probably the 777 will be in mica finish, not polished metal

I'm sure stripping an aircraft down to the bare metal is more time consuming than simply a fresh coat of paint. I highly doubt this will be bare metal as well.

The AA press release indicates the base paint will be the airline’s “Silver Eagle paint color” so definitely won’t be polished, sadly.

That said, I like the attempt here and think it’s a welcomed breath of fresh (100 yr old?) air compared to other liveries. I’ll take this any day over Delta’s l - just my 2 cents

I don’t love the render here at tbh but I’m sure this will get made pretty quick. Will this bird be polished down to bare metal like the original livery?

Most of the fuselage is still aluminum however the empennage is composite. Would end up looking similar to the 777-200s that wore the previous livery

Looks like a fictional model NG’s definitely going to make this one before the regular

the one dark blue rectangle at the top of the fuselage is in the wrong place it seems.
