It's not often that I get to announce a new mould from Phoenix but times are changing somewhat. If you're sick of twinjets then the Il-96-400 will be music to your ears. Even though the type has seen limited service there are at least 10 liveries available and it's great to see some diversity in the scale. Here are the first pictures of the new mould plus a look a the type and possibilities for it:

Very cool! But sad to see they still didn't get the winglets at the right angle. Shouldn't they be slightly more leaned back?

I'm still curious about what I see. The mould appears to have the (prototype's) 96M tail. Why? The series build airframes are quite different. Note the aft fuselage taper.

Richard, do you have some side on pics already?
No sorry I only have what I posted. I think you could be right and I've spoken with @DTcustoms to see if Phoenix can take a look and perhaps modify it.

This was posted by a user on the 'other' group - @YesterAirlines - this can be in addition to the ones you've listed - always happy to see this in the 'Aeroflot' scheme - of course not a civilian version. Curious though whether this ever saw service in the scheme.
This is definitely one I'd love PH to make asap - @DTcustoms

It was never actually served for Aeroflot cargo operations, it was stored and went to Atlant Soyuz later
Also Phoenix can't make this ome because they no longer has the PW2000 engine mould

Right - nonetheless a real aircraft painted in full livery even though it was stored - so it can be made as it isn't a 'fantasy' scheme - rather an undelivered / ntu aircraft

whoopsie. this is a bummer really and means we'll never see this one made :(?!.
Curious - how does it work with the other livery versions - they use the same engines as on the il-96-300?
Thanks in advance
