New Aviation400 July/August Releases

Seems to be yet another under the radar release from AV400, but eBay has been showing some listings for a Emirates A340-300. I have been wanting an Emirates A330/A340 for a while now so this is a very welcome release for me, given the only options are either old Gemini or rare Phoenix releases from eons ago.

I've noticed this and 2 Cathay A340's (B-HMX / B-HXG Oneworld) appear on Taobao in the last few weeks.

All the Chinese A330/340s are in MADb already - For A340s there are 3 China Southwest, 5 China Eastern, 6 Air China
For A330s there are 2 Sichuan, 2 Shenzhen, 1 Capital, 6 China Eastern, 5 China Southern, 1 Lucky Air, 5 Air China

The AV A330 mould has never been great. The A340 isn't a masterpiece either. They are all middle of the road. No worse than JC Wings, not as good as NG. But the cockpit window printing is better than HX!

Actually, that's not necessarily the case. The cockpit section has very smooth curved surfaces, so my model looked very unnatural from many angles.

Looks like a great product!

Though I think this is a good example why they should up their game and not delay releases, I would have bought this one for sure had it been out before they took delivery of 787, but now my order goes to the PH 787 (since 787/350 have top priority in my criteria), although AV 77w may be a better overall product.

Sad cockpit windows, their kal 77W had the same issue.
