New Apollo mould

Apollo are another of several brands filling the market up with lower priced alternatives to the more well known brands. Some of the products from these brands are surprisingly good and this is a growing trend in 400 scale over the past year or two, but there is only one way to keep the price down - increase the MOQ. That means there are limits to what they can make even before taking into account a lack of 'adventure' that they all have shown to date.
I've been in contact with Apollo since mid last year and did send them some 777-200 options when they requested them, but frankly I'd be surprised if they make them. Most of their output so far has been Chinese and not great. What hasn't has been A380s and 747-400s, which have mainly acted as sales blockers for better products, which is presumably one of the reasons JC let them access the moulds in the first place.
